Corgi B-24 guns

Post by Rogo » Thu Oct 21, 2004 3:10 pm

I would like to install a pair of 50 cal. guns into the waist positions of my 1:72 Liberator.
Do you guys know if these are available separately through a hobby source or would I have to scratch build them?

Thanks a lot!

probably lots of after market .50 cals available, asd at your local hobby shop. Or you could buy a model kit, cheap off of ebay....easier than scratchbuilding.

Thanks Aferg, The model kit idea sounds like a simple solution.

Or simply scratch build them. Cut a pin down and join one end of it to a small piece of balsa wood. Then paint.............

The current matchbox sherman tanks at Target have 50 cal machine guns on them.Just buy a couple tanks and use the guns.Thats where I get my additional guns from.

Thanks kamikaze! I'll check my local Targets. The 1:72 resin kits were pretty pricey so I was planning to scratch build.

Of course, Corgi could easily fix this problem by installing the waist guns in the first place. All of their more-recent B-24's have stupid clear windows in place of the guns, and the waist gunners are just standing there looking like bewildered puppies.
