21st C hetzer re-paint
21st C hetzer re-paint
Here it is in all is time consuming camo glory.
I decided to show it off (and if you like it gimme a PM) before I get to weathering it. It does have some weathering from washes and filters, but for the most part looks barely used. I still need to finish the exhaust by sooting it up with some other tones of rust and such. it needs antenna as well. So if you like that will be done before shipping.
it has new decals and the inside of the hatches are a panzer buff creme interior
But for the most part just wanted to show of the progress. I like the camo and plan to do some more hetzers in unique camo avoiding ambush (though I love ambush scheme), I have a wall of them and the marders here. i am definitely going to repeat this camo on a marder and a stug

brush painted, Tamiya field grey (green) thinned with denatured alcohol to allow it it spread without strokes or covering detail, yellow is Acryl dinklegelb and need no thinning, the red is acryl hull red no thnning needed. hit entirely with airbrush flat lacquer varnish to kill any glossy paint or highlights.
used airbrush to touch up interiors, but yes 99% brush

i stumbled on this guy's gallery of models. It has photos of the work in progress with dialog of the process and helpful tips on how he went about it.
The hetzer here is the one I worked from but I took the liberty of adding the camo to the running gear.
The menu to the left has a whole catalog of his models and the process he went about on each one. great for you re-painters out there or modelers in general
