Are the Forces of Valor Airplanes any good?

Which scale?? 1/72 WWII planes are very nice, but the 1/32 have much to be desired..

I would not recommend the 1/32 unless it is under $10. 21C is half the price with three times the detail. Save your dough for FOV armor. 8)

BTW, Mitch, did you ever find a buyer for your FOV 109?

I was thinking about picking up a 1/32 scale "Cripes A Mighty 3rd" for $32 shipped, but if you say it's not worth it maybe I'll pass.

Trust me RAD, trust me on this: PASS PASS PASS!

These things are truly sub-par, and I am pretty non-critical compared to some of the other forum members.

Pick up a 21C model instead.

I have one but I only bought it because Target had it marked down to $7.50. It's nice, but not as nice as my 21st P-51's. Especially when compared to the new tooling B/C's.

Of all the FOV 1:32 planes, I would recommend only the P-39, but then some boardmembers got "lemons" that had poor quality. Mine did was not one of those  However, as the other members have said in this thread, the other planes are not really worth it. Sure the diecast construction, movable surfaces, and opening engine are nice features, but the mould details are very poor when compared to the 21c planes. Besides, 21c makes 1:32 examples of all the planes FOV makes and theirs look better. FOV 1:32 tanks and their 1:72/1:48 aircraft are FAR better 8)

Sorry Tman, I forgot about the P-39.

I got rid of all my FOV AC except for the Spitfire, only because we didn't have a 21C model at the time.

I like the die cast but worry that some day it will pull right out of the ceiling. And surprisingly, the thing seems more fragile than the 21C plastic planes. :?

I have had all the FOV 1:32 aircraft at one time or another and got rid of them all. Also I saw more than one lemon Airacobra at my local hobby shop which sucked since I really like the P-39. I love FOV armor, but their 1:32 aircraft are stinkburgers.

I just turned around in my chair and remembered my FOV enthusiast "shark mouth" Apache hanging on the other side of the room. I recommend it highly even though it is 1:48.
