I agree. There are just too many cool schemes for this plane. I am hoping there are not too many releases or I may need a butcher bird room.

Now now now, repaints are evil and is what's keeping us from getting new stuff.
And if you believe that I got 10 acres downtown NYC I'll sell you.
All these schemes are sweet especially the winter one and I wouldn't be surprised to see a couple of them.

AlloySkull,
I like those schemes you posted.
Do you know if there's a "wish list" for 21st Century?
In addition, I'd like to see a Willi Maximowitz paint scheme.

Hey guys, Roy has been monitoring our forum and he asked if I would post this communication for him! Hope this helps!
-TKO
Hi guys, I share your love of the Butcher Bird, and I agree that the schemes posted above are very cool, but please remember that this new release is specifically an Fw-190A-7/A-8/A-9. These are late war models, so no Russian front schemes are possible. Most of the whitewashed Russian front Fw-190s were A-3s and A-4s. The JG 2 Fw-190s with the dramatic Eagle flash on the side are also these earlier variants with the shorter nose (by six inches). Do not despair, there are many excellent schemes for these later Wurgers, and S2 and S3 scheme announcements are not too far off. Happy collecting! Roy

Thanks Roy!! (Tko for posting)
Is there any way to tell us how far along the first A8 scheme is and when we can expect to see it on shelves?? An estimate even??
The F8s are FANTASTIC!!! And I am eagerly awaiting the A's with even more enthusiasm...

do you mean No white wash or no russian A-8s in late russia Roy?
cause I am bringing this for referance.
Fw
190A-8 of Oberfeldwebel F. Luddecke of JG 51 entered combat in July 1944 to reenforce the Luftwaffe units under assault durning the soviet offensive Operation Bagration.
Luddecke with 50 aerial victories was shot down by russian ground fire on August 10, 1944 near the Lithuanian/East Prussian frontier in the final phase of Bagration.

You guys must have really inspired Roy. Here is another reply from him in regards to this topic.
-TKO
The Fw-190A-8s did see some service in action against the Russians, but JG 51 was retreating against the Russian offensive and based at this point in East Prussia. The aircraft you are referring to was shot down in the late summer. I have never seen an A-7 or A-8 painted in Russian front field applied greens or wearing winter distemper paint. I’m always willing to be proved wrong, however! As to the status, all I can tell you is that production is finished on the first few schemes of the A-8 series. How long it takes to get to the shelves after that is anyone’s guess, but it shouldn’t be too long.
One exclusive bit of news for you guys is that we have another 20 announcements in all scales (at least) before this wave of news is complete. We are trying to speed up the process, so we can keep up with the actual releases, but sometimes it’s a choice between working on the actual projects, or taking the time to tell you guys about it. Only so many hours in a day! Now, I have to get back to the huge pile of work that awaits me.
Happy collecting! Roy

Now that's what I'm talking about! TKO, is there anything we can do to help? Order you pizza? Do your laundry? Rub your feet? Keep 'em coming!
Harry, I really like the black 12 scheme you posted. Not all WWII airplanes were quite so brightly colored and sometimes I like some plain looking models.
