Not meaning to complain, but I a bit dissappointed that the upcoming 1/72 FOV allied tanks are the Sherman and Churchill. With the Matchbox version of both these and the CDC versions of the Sherman, how about something new like the Cromwell, Pershing, Stuart, Matilda, Grant/Lee, Chaffee, or even one of the US tank destroyers.
I am a big fan of German armor, but would love to add some allied armor to the bunch. However, I am only looking forward to the Dragon T-34.

1/72 Allied Tanks
I agree on needing more allied armor. In addition to the U.S. tank destroyers I'd like to see a Firefly...need that 17 pounder to stand up to all of my German "Big Cats".
I seem to remember Dragon promising a Sherman and even a Panzer IV...wonder what ever happened to those.

Just remember though, THESE tanks will have working suspension and rolling tracks!! Hell! Duplicate all you want FOV! I'll start buying German Tigers & Panthers all over again from FOV and leave my 'static' Dragons in firing positions. Nevertheless, I'm sure we'll see a Chaffee or an M10 at some point.
I wonder if Dragon will follow suit with their tracked vehicles.

at least there's a difference!
On the good news - the tank FoV is calling an M4A3 is an M4A1 in the sample photos. Matchbox/CDC modelled the late hull M4A3, which allowed them to use the same hull for 75mm, 76mm, and 105mm weapons. All of these came into use in ETO in the fall of 1944 and other theaters later. The new FoV appaers to be a mid-production M4A1 with 75mm. That means that if you take off the mine roller and are willing to do a little cosmetic work you have a tank that is good for North Africa, Italy, DDay, and some Pacific campaigns as well as a couple British versions. Much more adaptable.
By the way, HaT makes a few models for wargamers that are rather simple but can be made into decent models. These include an early M4, and M4A3 76mm and I think an M10. These retail at about $12-$15 for a box with two vehicles.
