Went to Tulsa, OK today so hit some stores while there. TRU had the new howitzers and that's about it, no Hellcat's anymore. 2 of the WM stores there closed and combined apparantly to one big one, it sucked, the 2 seperate were better. I did notice that the 2 stores I did hit in Tulsa had both the new 1/144 Zero's, the Pearl Harbor scheme and Nishizawa's scheme. Go get'em Harry.

The two stores that closed weren't combined into one, but were rebuilt into 2 seperate superstores farther away from each other.. But you are right in one aspect, they both pretty much suck..
The TRUs did have the Hellcats when I went there last week and also had the Bullfrog/Shangri La P-51s, but they could've sold since I was there.. The east side TRU had a decent selection also..

local TRUs have only produced the bullfrog and shangri-la as far as the new P151 B/Cs go. But I did find the Evie P-47, maybe some different stangs are in the same box waiting to be put out on the shelf.

I came across the action-grade versions of the FOV Stug IIIG with the four rider figures and the M-142 HIMARS rocket launching truck at TRU today
I picked up the Stug for the figures and accessories, otherwise my Italian-theater StugIII (also from TRU) has much more weathering...

Well, I got it and boy!! is it realistic or what???
The bottom of the wings are hand painted, with a brush, obviously!
Just like it would have been in may of '45! The silver, light green, and blue-grey are all showing brush strokes. No wonder factory labor is so cheap in China, it is all really done by hand- I guess they really do have quality control folks, paint brush and all-

Picked up this Action Grade FOV diecast Stug III Ausf. G in a brown/green camo pattern from the Germantown MD Target for $26, it comes with four of the newer style crew figures (commander, gunner, and two riders) and a stowage set (crates etc.) that mounts on the back of the vehicle, and a few other accessories like spare tracks, roadwheels, machine gun and shield, shovel, etc. All things considered, I think it's pretty nice, and a welcome change from the mustard yellow Stug, although it could use some weathering, especially on the roadwheels, tracks, and lower hull.

The new Stug is a nice change, and given that it comes with the four figures and the stowage, I thought it was worth it to get another
Then I went about weathering the vehicle - my first attempt to do that on any small-scale military vehicle! I'll post a picture later on, but I'm pleased with my results.

Here you go:

A few more photos have been posted in the Customs & Mods forum. I mainly wanted to darken the colors,, especially the tan part on the highly visible (and plain-looking) sides of the vehicle, as no side-skirts were included. It came out pretty good for a first attempt, in my opinion![Cool 8)](./images/smilies/icon_cool.gif)

Yellow 15 Fw-190-D's have shown up in Tulsa, along with the assorted XD VN figures.. I am actually looking for the 1/6 MG34 machine gun set coming out. Has anyone seen them yet??
