DAK hopeful

Post by der Vogelfänger » Thu Oct 18, 2007 2:25 pm

Sounds crazy coming from a former airplane-only guy, but I REALLY would like to have more DAK tanks/vehicles/armor, etc. What do all of you say?

I love the DAK stuff, but I am figuring that I can repaint some PZ III and IV, Sdkfz 222 and all the trucks and halftracks I want. I would rather see some new molds rather than repaints.

Crusader, Morris Tractor with a 25pdr gun, US halftrack with a 75MM gun mount would be nice additions.

Found this while browsing ebay today... http://cgi.ebay.com/WWII-German-Afrikak ... dZViewItem This could be very useful for someone wanting to model the DAK. The text is in Deutsche of course, but the value of this book is in the abundance of color photos of DAK weapons and equipment.

I agree w/Schizuki! I'd much rather see some russian stuff than DAK tanks ( no offense to you North African fans :) )

I did a search for the above vehicles, being new to the ground-side of "things", and, wow, what cool choices these Italian vehicles would be.
Italy did something right, obviously, for the Germans "employed" many of their vehicles!! My education is growing by leaps and bounds...thanks to all of the posts/responses...thank you!!

I would also like to see more DAK weapons and vehicles but we have seen a lot of DAK stuff this this year so they seem to pay more attention to that theatre now .

Heres the list of all the DAK units I can think of excluding 1:6 and 1:144

21st century :

Two 1:18 figures
Three 32x units (Opel blitz ,88 and Panzer III L)

Dragon :

Sdkfz 251/10 1:72
Tiger 1:35

Admiral :

Panzer III L 1:72

I'd like to see a 1/18 88 added to that list. If not, I guess I'll just have to do a repaint. :?

Gimme a Bren Carrier in 1/32! I will take two or three at least. :D
Would also like a German staff car, and an SAS Land Rover in that wacky desert pink color!
