Diorama Base

Post by ostketten » Sat Oct 06, 2007 6:00 am

Just ordered this diorama base... "Normandy Village Street Scene 1944" http://www.michtoy.com/MTSCnewSite/newm ... o-s01.html This is a bit more than I would usually spend for something like this but it's retired now and becoming harder to find, and the ONTC stuff is top quality in my experience, plus this thing is BIG, measuring 9x12 inches, so it should accomodate even the largest tank, what do you guys think?? Looks like a ready made entry for a dio contest eh? Just add armor and troops and you are good to go. Just kidding of course, but what can I say.... I'm lazy :? 8)

I would love to see something like that in 1/18 scale.

How much is this base?

Cost me about $70, delivery did not run much extra because it was just one part of a fairly large order. If I get time I will do a "quick and dirty dio" with it and post some pics after I have received it. Glad you guys like the looks of it. 8)

This Corgi 1:50 scale diorama piece looks remarkably similar to the ONTC one that I have on order, the main difference being that the 32X scale piece from Old Northwest Trading Co. is MUCH larger. The tank is a Hobby Master 1:48 Soviet JS-II and the propaganda posters are 1:32 items from Build-a-Rama. Hope you guys like the pics............ 8)

The 1:32 Diorama base looks awesome! Actually, $70 really isn't all that bad - Build a Rama has similar sized dio bases with buildings that go for alot more...
