1/35 question.

Hello,
Well the other day I was at a hobby shop looking for some HO Scale buildings for my layout and I came across some Academy 1/35 German SS Infantry. They were $6.99 so I thought why not?I had always wanted to get some 1/35 stuff. So now that I made those I'm pretty much hooked. So I'd like to know who makes the best 1/35 Sherman? (What else? lol) Also who makes the best 1/35 stuff in general?

I think Tamiya and Dragon have the best quality. I have never been disappointed.

Tamiya, hands down..the best 35th Armor period!! Dragon is 2nd runner up in regards to Armor, and behind Dragon..bringing up the number 3 spot would be Academy (the best in regards to a couple modern pieces...but then again, they're the only offering for said pieces..lol).

I agree that for Nazi stuff you want Tamiya and/or Dragon. For US stuff a lot of Tamiya stuff has LOUSY research, and their idea of production is to keep re-releasing 1970's vintage kits. The more recent figures from Tamiya are good, Dragon offers more variety and their newer figures are as good as Tamiyas.

The best 1/35 Sherman kit, in my view, is the DML M4A1 Sherman. It makes a nice model and has lots of extra parts. DML also has the largest varity of Shermans. Italeria makes a nice M4A1 76mm that should be in any collection. Tamiya's M4 is also a nice kit. Tamiya kits are the easest to build too.
