What's the deal FOV Blackhawk?

Post by DocTodd » Wed Sep 19, 2007 5:26 pm

I purchased the 1:72 range FOV Blackhawk and the first one had mini guns in position in the package. But there is a problem with the stand, one of the clips is molded in the center where the cross piece fits into it. Therefore the stand doesn't work. Well I bought a second chopper thinking I would use the stand from it. Low and behold no miniguns mounted, and there are none in the package at all. Does anyone have intel on this or are there 2 different versions?
Thanks,
Todd

I think there are two different veresions of the FOV 1:72 Blackhawk. The first one that I got at Target had no miniguns, whereas the aparent "Enthusiast" version sold by the small retailers did. The one day I was at TRU looking for something else, and noticed they had the 1:72 Blackhawks with the miniguns. I picked up one of those and gave the "gun-less" Blackhawk to a friend of mine. The helicopter looks much better with the guns, IMHO.

What I'd really like to know about the FOV 1:72 Blackhawk, however, is why the side doors do not open? It seems like that could have been done easily and it would have been a very cool feature!

Otherwise, it is still a very nice piece :D

I agree on both points. It is a really nice model but the door thing bugged me too. I got mine from TRU and it has the miniguns as well.
