Next 1/32nd Thunderbolt/ Mustang

Post by MightyMustang » Thu Jul 12, 2007 8:46 am

Hey guys you know what I'd like to see next? A 1/32nd Thunderbolt wearing the markings of the 78th FG's "No Guts, No Glory" and to see either a 1/32nd or a 1/48th Mustang wearing the markings of the 78th FG's "Sherman Was Right". Of all the T-Bolts that I have seen "No Guts No Glory" was the most colorful, to me anyway. It was a well known fact that the 78th had the most colorful markings in WW 2 of any FG and I would love to see more of their planes get done. "Sherman Was Right" would be a great addtition as well because we already have BBD in 1/18th and we all know there is no need for another 1/18th P-51D Mustang. So to see either of these get done would be great and I would snapp them up in a hurry.

I doubt we will see "Sherman Was Right" get done so I'll have to get out my Revell 1/48th Mustang model kit and build it myself which is ok since I havent built a model in awhle but damn would I love to see "No Guts No Glory" get made by 21st and like I said if they do I'll snap that up quick.

I like No Guts No Glory...but I'd rather have Hun Hunter XVI myself.

As far as P-51Ds...eh theres enough already.

Here Here Blurx!

I agree, we desperately need a P-38. I know everyone wants a spitfire but FOV has one already.

Me and you both. Especially as "Glacier Girl"

Any scheme will be good though...be cool to see 'Yippee' too.

Considering Glacier Girl's history, what a good choice that would be!! Saw her in person 2 years ago at the Lakeland Sun 'n Fun FlyIn....brought tears to my eyes....what a beauty!

A bright orange Yippee would be really something-they'd best issue a pair of RayBans with that scheme :D

Glacier Girl used to be not 45 minutes from where I live. Barbourville is not very far from Middlesboro. I went and seen her over there and then she was sold and moved. I tell ya, it still breaks my heart knowing shes no longer there, but I am gald her new owners are just as much as plane buffs as anyone.
