V1 is nice, but I'd rather get a V-2 personally. V-2 were launched from further in and didn't have to be just off the coast. It'd also be a massive weapon hauled on a big truck

Hey spud,
I to would like all of the 1/18 scale offerings in model form. as well.
Blasto,
A 1/18 scale V-2 would be about 4 foot long!

2 1/2 feet actually. 45 feet long in real life.

Estes used to make a model rocket kit of a V2 that was labeled as 1/19 scale but is actuallly 1/16. Anyway, it's quite a nice likeness. I have one and am quite pleased with it. I have yet to build it; the complicated paint scheme stops me in my tracks every time. Still, i'm glad to have it.
You can find them on Ebay for around $50 or so.

It would be cool - and certainly doable - if Pegasus made the manned version of the V-1. It was a pretty insignificant weapon that killed more of its own pilots than the enemy, but it looks cool

the manned version of the V1 was never used in combat. Hitler forbade it (surprising coming from a man who routinely insisted his soldiers fight to the last man).

I wouldn't mind... I did once consider making a more-or-less 1:6 scale Mercury-Atlas V rocket for my GI Joe Mercury capsule to properly sit atop

Woah There

I thought about the Atlas for my GI Joe too...then I realized the Redstone was smaller. Still, the Redstone/Mercury combination came to a little over 9 feet long.....NINE FEET!!!! Well, I guess the flat screen 60" TV can come off the wall and be put somewhere else....?

As far as wonder weapons go I think I'd prefer the Ar-234, He-162, Do-335 or even a Sd.Kfz 205 Maus first, but a V-2 with transport trailer and all the other launch vehicles and equipment wood be quite cool, although I do think a Ba-349 “Natter” complete with its telephone pole style launching post would be far more pratical as far as cost and space go. And even though it is a semi fixed site wouldn’t a full launch ramp for your V1 be pretty special as well .
But then it goes without says that you’d be needing a rocket toting Typhoon, Tempest, Beaufighter, Mosquito, or a bombed up Havoc to go hunting for this lot with

I'm not a big fan of vac-u-form kits but this is a nice one.

Mine should have already arrived - but I've been at work all day and now I'm at school, so it will be well after 9:00pm PST when I finally get a chance to go home and see...

I've just ordered my kit today, it will end up costing me about AU$50 after shipping though. Thought I'd better take advantage of the low US$ and strike while it was down.

My V-1 came today
Here's a few quick photos, with a 1:18 German figure included for scale:
It is actually a very nice little kit and I am quite pleased with it! The Pegasus V-1 has to be about the most obscure aircraft to have yet been made in 1:18 and is an interesting choice for the start of a 1:18 scale aircraft line.
Assembly consists of only the two wings and they fit securely. The only moving parts consist of the little propeller on the nose. The engine intake has the "grille pattern" detailed, however, the exhaust tube is not detailed or painted. A little flat black paint can take care of that!
The paint application on mine is flawless and looks great. The stenciling labels are decals, but are all professionally applied and not misaligned. On some you can see the edges of the decal and so I may eventually paint them over with Microflat to blend them in better.
It already appears that the plane is out of stock at BadCat, making it one fast seller!! All-in-all, this is a neat first release for Pegasus Hobbies and a very cool (and obscure) addition to the 1:18 aircraft lineup
Now to build a launch rail
