Not sure this has been posted before. Limited edition (so they say) 1 of 500. Pretty much a dead ringer for a German R71.

Ah.. Here is the history. It's was initially a German BMW R71 1938-1941, then copied by the Russians and finally the Chinese. It's still in production today! (Not the toy, the real bike...)

Great story:

$245! :?

As always with these chines auctions, i'm a bit leary of the scale. It could be 1/18 but it could also be 1/20, 1/16, 1/12 etc

Regardless of the exact scale, its a little pricey for one of my 1/18 guys to ride. Does look good though.

Does anyone make a WW2 era motorcycle?

maisto made a US WWII Harley. That's it though.

I'd feel like an idiot paying $245 for that Jiang thing. It's a nice model but jeez..

$40 is the hightest i'd go. Someone from 21c should jump on the phone right now and order 10,000 units of that bike from the factory. 5000 dark grey and 5000 dark yellow. They'd sell them in a flash.

AF I'm a little disappointed, as I was banking on you being the Guinea Pig as usual!

By the way have you crewed up you 57mm yet and when do we get to see the results?

ah.....well i did some work on the crew, using star wars figures as the basis for them, but sort of lost interest, as i often do. I'll come back to it in time and finish it off. The gun is quite nice, my only criticism is that the barrels are over scale, being too long and thick. The rest of the gun and carriage is fine, so i will probably replace the barrels with something better scaled.
