I was just wondering about the Dauntless myself. I hope we see it this year, starting to hope we see it at all.

I've considered making a pre-order several times now, but I guess I'll wait. (There are lots of other aircraft that I'd like to collect before this one is released.) Which version will you guys be having? The one with Midway pre-painted markings or the one with the Coral Sea stickers? (Or both--one of each?)

I only pre-orderd 1 and I want the Coral Sea version which mine will be because of the decal option. I wonder to if we will ever see it.

I talked with MTS earlier this week. He seemed very optomistic on its release. Of course, I didn't get any info like it would be on 10/31 @ 2:05 pm. But, he seemed very optomistic about it comming in the near future.

It's coming alright.....
If you notice MTS post on their website, a few thing are being re-worked on AT's Dauntless.
I remember some here listing faults with the landing gear, well, that seems to be in the re-tooling mode along with the rear gunner's canopy. Sounds like some of the comments that were made are being listened to. If we want it to be more accurate, then we have to be patient with the delays when the manufacturer listens to us and takes the initiative and time to give us that accuracy.
It will be here before you know it and I'll bet we will all be more than happy when it arrives......

As it seems AT's work is a continual positive progression in terms of improvements in overall detail and quality (look at the jump between the F-86 and ME-262) the Dauntless can only hopefully be better

I think the 1/18th scale Dauntless is turning into another 1/18th scale Avenger Debacle!

I think with rising fuel, falling dollar, Olympics, earthquakes, soft etailer sales and price balking customers we will be lucky to see this. I am hopeful, and check the MTS website every few days in the hopes of a news update.
