Hey Mitch, that's Great :D
Yep, I wish they'd make it.
And I thank you for postin' the picture. It'll help me on my kit bash with the turret detail, now I need a shot from the inside of the turret to show the gun detail. I got the post from the Capt. on the size of the actual 20mm cannon and I'm getting the parts for the cannons, but I need to see the detail of the mounts so I can build the turret for mounting on one of my Panzer IVs. Thanks, the General

MITCH, what a cool pic, and the quality HAD to come from a German site 8) :D

Man, never thought this would happen either....I am going crazy over tanks and other vehicles, especially DAK :!:

I almost did this as a custom for the last contest but decided that figuring the angles would take up too much time.
Now for 21st to put their crack team on it..would be different!

it'll happen.....it's got to. They can use their PIV chassis unaltered. Just need to make a new turret with flakvierling.....and then they can sell a flakvierling, on trailer, seperately, much as they did with the quad .50.

:)

I was also going to do a custom of the Wirbelwind, even had a 1:32 model for reference... but I ran out of Panzer IV's to cut up. I just did a trade with Cooper in Germany and got a Euro Panzer IV but I'll never cut this one up.
I think the Wirbelwind will be released at the same time as the Jagdpanther. :)

The 1/32nd ones FOV and 21C have are great. This would be awesome in 1/18th. Could you imagine, this and a Jagdpanther in 1/18th ...makes Homer Simpson drooling noise.

Cool piece! With 21C turning out gun platforms now, perhaps we might actually see one someday. It would get my vote!

TKO, with all due respect... Your the Pres.... You da Man! just tell 21st what we want. Uh... what you want. :)
I've always thought they would come out with the next logical thing... Panther/Jadgpanther, Panzer IV and all its variants and so on. This has been talked about for a few years now, I'll give it a rest... just one thing ... TANKS sell!

Add me in for voting for this... They have both RC and non-RC chassis' ready for it. I'd gladly take one of those bad-boys though.

This definetly has my vote  Hey now with the 88 coming out this year, the flakvierling cant certaintly be far behind. If they just came out with the trailer version, not that hard of a custom

The Wirblewind is a must 8) 21c already has half the job done for them - all that's really required is a highly detailed turret

I'm so proud of this pic , for one thing , it's my 1st. pic posted on here. * 8)

I had been wanting to post this for a long time but did'nt know how.

Further-more , this is one of my favorite WWII German armored vehicles. I had been fascinated with it since I played w/ army men as a kid.

I had the original model kit of it by Monogram in 1/32nd. * 8) ... My friends and I used to have hours of fun w/ this stuff.
... Those were the days ,.. but Thanks to 21st.Century Toys ,.. brought those childhood days back home to me. * :D

"I really hope you guys make one of these". = 8) * "Sincerely" .............

Could someone please post some pictures or drawings of the panels/plates that would be the correct size for building the turret of this beastie in 1 18th and the correct measurements to cut out these plates ??? I found a quad gun assembly that may work(with modification of course) to build this tank :) I am eager to start this kitbash and have already picked out the Panzer IV to use to build it. Then I will post a build log in the customs forum as I build this whirbelwind ;) Thanks, Herr General

the turret is a more complicated shape than it looks....9 sided, with double angled panels. Your best bet would be to buy a 1/35 kit (cheap if possible) and take measurements directly from its turret. You can just double the dimensions, which would make your scratch built turret 1/17.5 scale, or if you want to be exact multiply the dimensions of the 1/35 model by 1.944.
