Badcat has BBI Navy pilots for 3 dollars and 99 cents. Good to see these pilots at a good price.

Yes, its hard to beat the BBI Corsair/Hellcat pilot. I wish BBi made the pilots for 21st Centurys planes also.

I was glad to get an extra one of this bbi pilot figure! But does anyone else think that its arms are just a tad short? I've thought that ever since the first bbi Corsair came out.

His arms may be a tad short, but since most guys have monkey arms is the only reason you could really notice. It could be to help stuff him into cockpits.

He is a great figure though. As I said, all new bbi and 21C heads are completely compatable. Just pop off and switch. No need for hot water, shaving or glue. The only thing is some guys have longer necks (not stems that go into the figure) than others, usually due to the type of uniform the guy has on. So some head swaps look better than others. Ones that work great for the bbi PTO pilot are putting him on the 2 21C Spec Ops guys, on the bbi DEVGRU guy, and on the new D-day guys, like Otto. His, and most bbi heads are smaller than 21C heads, and look better on some figures than others. If there is a 21C US fig you want to get a helmet on, give him a bbi head.

Can the BBi pilots fit into 21st Century cockpits? In order to justify the shipping, I'm thinking about switching all of my 21st Century pilots out...

Wow, I didn't realize that the current bbi and 21C heads could be swapped. Great news - thank you for mentioning, it digger!

Hello!

It's good to be back. Unfortuantely I've been having to actually work at my job and haven't been able to check in.

I went to TRU and found several Hellcats. Despite not having any room, I went ahead and picked one up. Nice plane. Pilot is exceptional although much shorter than the 21st Century ones. When I got home, I found out BadCat had sent me three additional pilots that should be here in the Mound, today. Now I'll have four BBI pilots in one day.

I'd like to pick up a few more of these figures - does anyone know of a source at this point?

I keep thinking I should get a couple more of them, what for the Admiral Toys Dauntless and all  They are really great figures and some of the best 1:18 WWII pilots out there!

Be advised...the ones at smalljoes are just the figure with no accessories. No headgear or anything.

LOL! Yes, I try not to start new threads if there's an existing one on the topic, even if it's old.
