To the newcomers here i guess this seems surprising. But we veterans have seen this for years. It doesn't even phase me anymore.
New 1/18 items often fetch well over $100 in the first weeks after they come out. Always have, probably always will. The pak and halftracks were no different.
It's interesting because at least one seller had a 'buy it now' on the hellcats for a while of around $60....so either he sold out, or started putting them up for auction to the highest bidder without a buy it now. Seems that many buyers don't do any looking around before purchasing. All you need do is type in '1/18 Hellcat' in yahoo search and you'll find at least a couple of vendors selling for $55.

Your right Aferg I should be use to this having been at it since 2000, but I just can't quite get over the ridiculous waste of money. Maybe you can us tell what numbing cream you use.
