I guess this guy really wanted one, they go for 60-70 bucks on most etailers... Wonder what they were thinking...

Can't figure this one out. It's not like this plane isn't available elsewhere. :?

That's just crazy, do these people do any research before they start bidding?!!?! Guess some people just have more money than sense as my dad use to say. :?

To the newcomers here i guess this seems surprising. But we veterans have seen this for years. It doesn't even phase me anymore.

New 1/18 items often fetch well over $100 in the first weeks after they come out. Always have, probably always will. The pak and halftracks were no different.

It's interesting because at least one seller had a 'buy it now' on the hellcats for a while of around $60....so either he sold out, or started putting them up for auction to the highest bidder without a buy it now. Seems that many buyers don't do any looking around before purchasing. All you need do is type in '1/18 Hellcat' in yahoo search and you'll find at least a couple of vendors selling for $55.
i never met an airplane i didn't like...

Your right Aferg I should be use to this having been at it since 2000, but I just can't quite get over the ridiculous waste of money. Maybe you can us tell what numbing cream you use. :)
