So I take that as we will never see it then Jolly Rodger? lol. This is a big project for 21st but I think we will see it in time. Just be patient. Good things come to those who wait.

As usual, when it rains, it pours.

As an example, DID recently announced a super looking pre-built all metal 1/6 SdKfz 251 for around $1,000. Great news we shouted and piggy banks were broken to get pre-orders in.......great fanfare about a major player making 1/6 vehicles again ....and a few days later Rolling Thunder anounced a 1/6 SdKfz 251 in a kit form for around $300 and computer ink had not dried on that, when Dragon announced 1/6 kits (of a Kettengrad, but it's a start) for around $100.

After a long, LONG drout BLAM, we had 1/6 vehicles out the kazoooo, OK, OK, so it's not really the end of the drout, ...that would be if 21C got back into the 1/6 game for vehicles..

When our 1/18 21C B-25 comes, it will be in welcome arms....and if it sells, you can bet money AT will be watching with a few prototypes of it's own.....like a 1/18 B-26....Ju-88 Me-110 or dare I say it?......a Mosquito?

Businessmen don't like to be caught left out in the cold.....We shall see......After all how long did we wait for the Avenger?

you're getting fairly knowledgeable about planes, for a ground guy, TTT.

But notice the planes he mentioned were tactical bombers. Slowly we will convert him. Soon he will have dreams of GeeBees and Bristol Bulldogs.

Actually guys, I have always been partial to Fairy Swordfish's as well as seaplanes of any size or engine number. For the record, I do have two 1/18 planes. 21C Stuka and AT Me-262 and have pre-ordered (since January) the AT Dauntless and when it comes out, the B-25, Mosquito and the Bush Avenger. A few helos don't count, neither does the four 1/32 planes I couldn't resist, still in boxes.

I have faith but I know my 1/18 KT and the 88mm, and the DID 1/6 SdKfz 251, as well as somebodies 1/6 White half-track will be sitting on my shelves gathering dust, long before we see those planes 8)

VMF,

With all due respect to you, I highly doubt we will see a B-25 within the next year unless 21st has been working on it for three years and it is a lot further along than they say. But given we have not seen one of their model mockups, I do not think they are anywhere close to having one ready for us in the near future.

Just to give you some idea, a 1/32 B-25 is about the size of a 1/18 ME-109. It's a big bird in 1/32. A 1/18 one will certainly be more complex and take longer to develop due to its size. The part that will be complex to make will be the landing gear. It will be very tough to get them to retract into the engines correctly and look as they should. They make have to make this somewhat inaccurate to get this to work. That said, if one actually came out, it'd look nice hanging on my ceiling.

Thats a good one  I almost fell out of my chair. I hope we do see a B-25 some time in the near future. I was at an air show on Sunday and there were 2 B-25's, Miss Hap and Tondelayo. These birds were beautiful and big. Well how ever long it takes I have a place set a side for one. So Jason, what model B-25 is Admiral making?

It will probably be awhile before any 1/18 b25 is made :? It would be one huge aircraft and that is why it probably takes longer than other projects. But you never know maybe 21st century is finishing up the b25 as we speak

As far as I am concerned, mine will hang from the ceiling (yup, have a huge spot reserved for it) so the landing gear can be eliminated!

Greetings:

Jason, good to see you back on board. Don't worry, it seems like everyone is mad at BadCat right now for selling planes on ebay. Nobody even knows you are here, I'll keep it a secret.

As for the B-25, I really think the airplane is wishful thinking at this point. From this year, it appears 21st is not really focused on anything. This will be a very long project and will take years to develop, especially in 1/18 scale. I think 21st made a bold statment to say they would do this. In reality, not sure it's going to happen.

But I'd like to see it if it did.

Yeah know--I try not to be a pessemist. But, I highly friggin' doubt we will see a B-25 anytime soon. I think it was hype. Don't get misunderstand me--I would love to be proved wrong. I sincerely want a Mitchell. But, I just don't have a good feeling on this one.

To be honest, i will be very surprised if we see a 1/18 B-25 period. With the apparent collapse of the WM deal, the drop in the US dollar and high oil and transportation costs, it's going to get pretty expensive to make and to retail.
