I can only speak for the LAV, but it's decent. Especially at the Target prices. The VC figure's not half bad either. If I didn't already have one, I'd be hunting for one now.

I might have to pick up a Blackhawk. Maybe convert it it a Seahawk.

I have the LAV, Abrams, and Apache. They are a little light on the extra moving features and such that 21st has incorporated into vehicles like the Bradley and Walker Bulldog, and the Apache has some accuracy issues that most would probably never notice. But they are very nice, nonetheless--and definitely worth the money at the Target pricing. As far as durability goes, bbi puts 21st to shame--all of the bbi stuff I have seen is built incredibly well.

a few years ago my apache fell 5 feet onto a hardwood floor and there was zero damage. They are built tough. All are impressive machines and well worth getting if you are interested in the subject matter at all..

All three are well worth the purchase! They were great for the original retail cost, and even better for the cheap Target price! The pieces do not have many of the finer details that the 21c modern vehicles and helicopters do, but the BBI products still look great and are impressive size-wise.

The M1 is spot-on in size and look. It does not have an interior and only the commander's and loader's hatches open. A figure sort of sits in them and doesn't stand. The turret turns, the gun elevates and the tracks roll, of course.

The LAV has an opening passenger compartment that holds 4 figures that sit on simple benches. The compartment floor is "lowered" making it stick downward further than on the actual vehicle. Its not really noticable, though. The commander's hatch opens, however the loader's hatch, drivers hatch, the side hatch, and the roof hatches over the passenger compartment do not open. The front wheels turn, however, which is a nice feature, and the turret also rotates with an elevating gun.

The Apache is big and captures the look of the helicopter quite well. There are several inaccuracies, though. The cockpit doors open on the wrong side (left instead of right) and the rotor pushrods are on top of the rotor assembly instead of underneath. With an exacto-knife, however, the pushrods can be easily fixed.

Again, these are no 21c-style pieces as far as detailed features are concerned. Nevertheless, they are modern vehicles in 1:18 and avaliable for practically a 50% markdown at Target. I'd say go for it as you won't be diasppointed

I have the helicopters and have to say they used to get a lot of comments from the neighbors like "do they fly". The only problem I found with them was drooping main rotor blades after a period of time which was easily fixed with a hair dryer. At Target prices you can hardly go wrong. I paid full Toyrus price for mine.

I was frustrated for the longest I didnt pick up the vehicles during one of TRU's clearance - but now I'm really glad I waited - still no signs at the targets around here - but i will at least pick up the LAV and some figures.
