Also found this mobile SAM launcher at Meijer under "The Corps!" brand.

Anyone know if it's anywhere close to something real?

dont' think so....most SAM missiles are huge; 12-36 feet long. If you don't care too much about scale you could get the Joe MMS off ebay, it's a fairly faithful representation of a Hawk missile system, only it's about 1/25 scale.

Corps! stuff always looks familiar somehow but never represents anything real, unlike Chap Mei and PTE.

That's too bad and I agree on the look/not quite real designs.

The trailer might make a good base for some other kind of trailer though. I'll give it a closer look.

Don't know if it is at TRU but I see the Chap Mei Sky-crane Helo is out in terrible tiger stripe paint scheme. Figured not worth a new thread with all that is going on...

where did you see the Skycrane, digger? What are you impressions of it?

I saw the recon on another board. Didn't look as good as the PTE version (I though PTE showed it originally?) - this one seemed too chunky and not skeletal enough. That and was yellow with Tiger stripes..

PTE's version never came out did it? I don't even remember seeing pictures of it..

Def. never came out, I just remember (perhaps incorrectly) that they showed it a while back? Maybe it was on a Chap Mei Soldier Force box and I am getting them confused..

I can not remember seeing a picture of the PTE version. The way i recall it an online retailer that has since closed down said that they were going to get PTE to do a skycrane but when the site went under i never heard anything more.

ah, i see. Well, looks very chubby, like chap mei's sea knight. The positive thing about it is that the cabin looks close to 1/18 scale, thanks to the 'chubbyness' of the overall design. So, one could use that part to scratch build the rest of it.
