Sorry, 30 planes, all opened and the reserve is not even at $500? I think your expectations are a bit high.

Thing is...I know the guy. I kinda feel responsible for getting him started in this mess. He saw a few aircraft in my office near two years ago (maybe three) and started collecting his own. Now he's moving down to the coast to pursue a degree in underwater anthropology and archeology. Hasn't got the room to store or take them with him.

Wow - great degree! I have a degree in Military History and a Minor in Anthropology/Archaeology and my wife has a degree in Anthropology/Archaeology. Very Cool!!!

shoulda kept the boxes :D Shipping those will be a nitemare. The seller should throw in some superglue as well. As there will be lots of tiny little pieces to play with.

I had the same thought. Admittedly, some have been off the market for awhile and may command a higher price but overall this is a bit pricey for a lot auction, and shipping charges have not been factored in. Not sure what the reserve is, but I doubt this will sell. I would have sold them individually. A lot more money to be made that way.

AC lot

Don't agree - at $500 the price per AC is $16 plus shipping. There are at least 5 AC there that are worth around $100. Yes individually they would fetch more, but as it stands it is still a deal for someone looking to "go big."

Looks like the seller got a decnt price for the collection - $900 for 30 planes.

If you were to buy them at cheapaz Walmart prices ($40) they would run $1200.

Could have made much more selling singles.

I may have got a few and no shipping for me either.

I don't have nearly enough real estate to park all those planes, so I'm out of the running. :D :D :D

Not me, that's fur sure.

Now, if it was a massive collection of XD tanks and various vehicles, I'm there 8) , prying open my wallet, and watching the moths flying into the sunset. :P
