Other new Elite Operations / PTE at TRU

Post by grunt1 » Thu Jul 26, 2007 7:23 pm

I know some of these have been released in the past in various forms but these looked fresh to me relative to the standard mix of Elite Operations stuff at TRU. Pretty clearly PTE stuff in disguise which is great since that other EO stuff is garbage (and covered with lead paint apparently).

Anyway, in case these are new (if not, sorry), here you go:

Sorry, I'm sure it's Chap Mei.. Elite Operations appears to be the Motorworks of TRU.

ah.....i see. Now i get it. Well that's good news. Maybe more chap mei stuff will become available now.

I've always wanted to take a shot at splicing two of those chap mei helicopters together to make a reasonably scale sea knight and this new availability of the helicopter makes it more of a possibility now.

Prices are $9.99 for the Boat/Mutt set and $19.99 for the Chinook-a-like. :)

Totally agree. That and the availability of the Blackhawks at Target would provide a nice set of blades to work with. The existing ones are way too small.

Do Fisher Price do war toys?
Early Learning Centre, one of the UK's most common kiddy shops (as far as I know  ), refuse to stock any war toys at all (so not quite sure how they explain their Knights and Pirates lines...) - a few years ago, they even had an tv advert with a Barbie-like girls' doll and an Action Man (GI Joe to you Colonial types :-P) sitting outside the store complaining they couldn't even get in the door...

Still, ELC sell things like the Chap Mei construction, rescue, dinosaur and wildlife sets so I can't complain too much (so presumably beating the heck out of some poor warthog before chucking him in a cage on the back of a mini-Hummer for his trip to the zoo is perfectly acceptable?? )

So far over (dear old Blighty) here I've found several supermarkets with stocks of the tank that looks like the Merkava 3, but I've only seen one of the Iron Boss helis - that's one heli, not one shop with several boxes...
Oh well, maybe one day we'll have decent distribution over here (but I won't hold my breath).

Jeff. (aka Captain Chicken, leg-end in his own lunchbox).
