So, Which is the Best?
OK everyone - here's yet another not-very-original poll
Given that we've gotten a number of decent 1:18th P-51D Mustangs out now from both 21c and BBI, which paintscheme do you all think is the best? I have left out the original 21c Mustangs (Lou IV, Laura Michelle, & BBD) as those are practically in a different class. Hopefully I've gotten in all the planes released since 2005 - please let me know if there's one missing!
Have fun

I was gonna ask the same thing Rowsdower but decided to let it go. But if HHH was on the list it would have got my vote no question. But again its nice to see BBD running away with the votes. I think it should send a message to 21st to give us a NMF P-47D Thunderbolt in 1/32nd or 1/18th scale. In 78th FG markings that is.Rowsdower wrote:Where's Hurry Home Honey?
It not gaudy enough for you guys or somethin'?

Perhaps worth zapping this poll and starting over?

Slightly off topic:
I was wondering if anyone out there knows the reason why the star on the wing of this aircraft (BBI's "Old Crow") looks as if it had been painted by a five year old?

That doesn't look anything like my bbi "Old Crow" if you look at the lettering it all looks hand painted. Maybe a proof of concept or something?King O' Fools wrote:Slightly off topic:

Yep. That's what I thought. However, it's also featured here:Killerf6 wrote:That doesn't look anything like my bbi "Old Crow" if you look at the lettering it all looks hand painted. Maybe a proof of concept or something?

Must be the vast wrong wing conpiracy!
Anyway, I really like the paint scheme.

I agree Airacobra. Make one buddy because HHH and Frenesi were in the same squadron and they would look good together. Hayes was Maj Petersons wingman at times as well. So go for it make one but be sure if you do post pics when your done. I would love to see it!Airacobra wrote:Count me in as a BBD fan as well, but I still think someone should make "Frenesi". In the mean time, I think I will use my extra "Hurry Home Honey" or "Ridge Runner" to make one.
