Man, Id be all over that FOV Witman tank if it was 1/18 instead of 1/16. Is 1/16 scale new, or has it been popular a long time? I hope they continue to expand the XD line with the new TRU deal. One more thing. I also hope 21st does someWW2 in the new Platoon format... Come on Christmas surprise..

1/16 scale has been out for a very long time. 1/18 scale has been a Johny come lately but it does rule. :D

i remember there was a rumour a few months ago that Unimax was thinking of doing a 1/18 scale armour line, but i've not heard anything more about it, so it may well just be a rumour.

FoV in 1:18 would rock.. They could do the same basic vehicle in multiple lines like they do now.

FoV ? ... and in 1:18 ?

OK the 1/18 and 1/16 vehicles are a bit off ...
But the XD figures and FOV Wittmann figure are the SAME SIZE.

many of the xd figures are a bit overscale.....that tank crewman in your picture probably being the worst offender. His head is giant.

I suspect that FOV made their 1/16 tank crew figures a bit on the small side, like alot of manufacturers do, so they will fit better in the vehicles.

FOV in 1/18 would rock..

Wittman was a LITTLE dude. About five hands above a midget. But he was one hell of a tank killer. They made those tank pesronal small back in those days easier to get in and out of the copulas. I really wish that they would have done an earlier version of his tank because the FOV looks to be the same as the 21st. I have one of the FOV Witts . It is cool but it has the same road wheels and I with it would of had the older rubber dished wheel.

I didn't know that wittman was a midget. And that does make sense that tank crews would be midgets easier to get in and out of the tank.

He was not a midget...but if Michael Wittmann had attempted to join the LSSAH at any later stage, (1937) he would have been refused entry on grounds of his height!

minimum height for a 1st SS "Adolf Hitler" trooper was changed from 166 cm to 180 cm.

So Wittmann was at least 5' 4"....short, ja, but no midget

hm.....so i would have been too short to be a 1st SS "Adolf Hitler" trooper; i'm 177cm.

this is a bitter blow...
