Compare 21c and BBI Helos

Can you guys give me some assistance??

How do the Black Hawk and Pave Hawk and Little Bird of BBI compare to our 21c Cobra and Huey?

Accuracy? Quality of mfg? Durability?

Well, they each hold their own. Unfortunatly I never got see the 21st Little Bird... but until both companies make the same choper I can't tell for sure. The Huey looks awesome, and can definatly hold it's own against the Backhawk. I've never seen the cobra either, so I don't know how that is on detail.

To get the BBI 4 rotor helos to fit on a shelf, remove the rotor facing the wall. By doing this I am able to get 2 Blackhawks an Apache a Cobra and a Little Bird on a 8ft long 12" deep shelf. Another 18" and I can fit the Huey up there too. The Helos are all amazing. The 21st Helos have better paint.

Thanks guys, good intel on these, new to me. Room to dislay these guys is not my problem. My 1/6 Little Bird is still sitting in the middle of my dining room table. After a dozen responses to my wife's question with my response of "What helicopter??", she has gotten used to it. It may never make it to the bunker, it may join my WSC on display in the living room loaded with guys

I never saw a granade launcher on a nose mount on a Huey, I've seen them door mounted but never before the chin mount for a Huey, I thought they were only on the Cobra or Apache.

Anyway can you guys tell me the difference between the Blackhawk and the Pavehawk?

The first XD Huey with the grenade launche in the nose is accurate. I'm not on my personal computer at the moment, but I do have a picture of a Huey that looks exactly like the XD version, save with different markings.

I agree that the XD Cobra is the best 1:18 Helo - the cockpit detail, opening engine and other panels, plus the ingenious canopy system all make it a plus! The BBI Littlebird is awesome with detail, function and value - going for $20 or less! The XD Huey and BBI Blackhawk are also quite good. The BBI Apache, in my opinion, was an ambitious and very cool product to make, but even though I'm not a sticlker for complete accuracy, there are some flaws on that helicopter that just don't make it worth the full price.

My two favorites are the BBI Littlebird and the 21C Huey. You can't beat the Littlebird for $20. Best thing about it is the free-spinning blades. Only bad part is even if you crazy-glue them, anything hits the spinning prop and they pop off. The drawback, for me, on the Huey is the props don't spin freely. But, I prefer them since they are much more sturdy. The blades are made of a harder plastic, so they don't sag as bad. So I would lean towards the 21C helis just because they are a little sturdier, but would still recommend the little bird.

try sanding the plastic in the area whre you are gluing the blades on. Some plastics are shiney and krazy glue doesn't adhere to them very well. If you rough up the plastic surface a bit with sand paper the glue will stick much better...

I added some WD40 to my huey last night, and it DOES make an improvement to how the rotor spins. You can also pop them out just slightly (not all the way) so they are still 75% in the shaft, they spin really good but are wobbely and can come out if you don't blaance them as you spin them. And watch your fingers when those things get going, it can actually hurt.
