Some nice models on the Russian stands including the Indian blue Mig-29K. I've added other pics as well, Globemaster, Rafale, SuperConstellation, Strike Eagle, A-380, Tiger, NH-90, etc...

No...they're free....if you buy the real thing!!!

Good pics siqnus.

Snarky comment here: It's funny the way the folks at EADS give all kinds of grief about the KC-767. In all the hype I've been reading about this show, Northrup/EADS wanted to make it look like the KC-30 would be THE big deal. And what do they do, show off the tanker version of the A-300. Talk about bait and switch!!!

Dude... I didn't know Doogie Howser was selling MiGs! (See Third Pic) I guess being a doctor got boring...

And on a last note...the black jet looks like a cross between some sort of Stealth fighter resembling the Aurora project.

Yes, you're right. My mistake sorry.

Dispite the fact that Le Bourget is more a meeting for professionals than a public airshow,
there were some nice demos.
The funny note is that :

On 06/19, M. Leahy, Airbus commercial director said Airbus has sold an A-380, the biggest passenger jet in the world to a private. The plane will be fitted with a Hammam, a Gym, a pool and will be used as a private jet...

Mr Aage Duenhaupt at Lufthansa Technik, the German company wich makes the mods said three to five more orders to convert A-380s are on the way (...).

Insane.

Cost : approx 320 Millions dollars for the plane and don't know how much for the conversion but could be up to 100 millions dollars...
It would cost the owner circa $30 million to operate it every year.

(I've been told by a reliable source that the owner of this A-380 is Roman Abramovich....).

A pure egotrip.

Looks to me like it's someones' version of a UCAV (Unmanned Combat Air Vehicle) - sort of like a freaked-out Predator on steroids, PCP and every Air Force bean-counters wish-list (Woohoo! No more soft pink squidgy bits to pay each month!)
There are as many different UCAV designs as there are aircraft manufacturers. Well, actually, they all look pretty similar but they are supposed to be the Next Big Thing in military aircraft, so everyone wants to have one to sell when the customers get their cheque books out...

Anywho, Doogie ain't there to sell MiGs - have you seen the other Russian export he's standing next to?? :D :D :D

Jeff (no, not that one, the other one!)

Ahhhhh... The Russian Oligarchs!!! Nothing like Capitalism at work!! Amazing what a complete reversal of economics will do... Sicqnus, Egotrip is right. There is no way five people will be able to afford those planes. A year and I bet he gets too bored with it. It is a pure out and out show of conspicuousness...and most Biz jet owners try to keep as low profile as possible.

Yes, the Sukhoï-34 "Fullback" is an amazing aircraft (Russian code : Platypus). I would love to see one made in 1:18 scale. The "Gaincorp" 1:72 die-cast one is amazing.
