Noted your comment on the “reason for the good prices…”…are you serious? If so you’d best tell me all about it.
Lower prices actually come about from tooling costs being covered by earlier production runs…thus the tool cost can be eliminated."

Just so you are all clear …the 42 stores with bbi right now are the new stores…Target systems deliver these stores first as they have to be set up for the season from the beginning…after that the goods flow on to all other stores. So all Target stores should have all items by the end of August if not sooner. And for those that asked…this will include Little Birds but no Hornet of Falcon ( too big for the Target buyer to understand…seems they only look at the size of the box..not how many they can sell)
I trust this clarifies it all for you…and if we get a good result then you will see more items and more colour schemes.
So it is all in your hands now…don’t say I never told you so."

Well, we can hope that the a positive answer to "if everything sells well" could lead to expanding the line to also include some of the other modern items (e.g. the F-16 and F/A-18) as well as WWII items.
I talked to someone in my local Target a couple days ago and he said that they are in the process of resetting aisles and should have any new stuff out next week. Unfortunately, he didn't know if it might already be stashed in the back, so I should take the codes in and check. That way maybe I can avoid having to hurt someone in a battle over the last Blackhawk "Sorry about the nose and arm kid, but this one is MINE!!"

^ lawlz evilz. Muwahahaha.
Anyway...
Yesssss...landed me these this morning. This particular Target always seem to stock their aisles with the fresh stuff first out of all the Targets I've been too. Decided to stop at this one since I passed it last night. I saw the price tags for the helos and ask if they were resetting and told me they were doing it that night. Came in the very next morning and wola! BBI galore! Unfortunately they only had enough space to shelve 1 apache and 1 blackhawk. The blackhawk didn't scan at the register...so I was chit chatting about the collapsed bridge in Minneapolis.
I was really tempted to pick up the m1a1 tank @ only $25 for a thing that humongous.
Yes folks, if you see empty shelves in the Toys section, you're bound to get the new goodies.
Oh and which little birds does Target plan on stocking? MH-6?

Great news Mike!! i am hoping to get to the states later this year so will need to check every Target i find!
I am sure i could pick up a blackhawk and a few other vehicles as well as a ton of figs to support the sales stats Hope it is a success for BBI as it would be cool to see the line expanded.
Mike are there going to be any more figures showing up (not the new ones as i recon they are probably set for TRU? any word on these?)
Also do you know if the pavehawk will turn up?

Well, I dragged my scruffy-looking nerfherder butt into my local Target again tonight after work to see if next week might just come sooner. No new product was out, but all the spots are in place. Helos, Humvees, figures, etc. Although I didn't see a clear tag for the LAV or Abrams, that doesn't mean much at this stage. Plus they had shelf space and pegs set aside for the 2th Anniv. Joes (5 packs and carded).
I did a quick check on the cocmputer, though and nothing in the stockroom yet. Tick tock...

Mike,
Will Target carry the BBI 1/32 line? The Phantom is modern, its still used by many nations. Also the box size does not look as big as the boxes for the apache and blackhawk.

Shin's wishlist for 1/18 and 1/32 with retractable landing gear and more:
F-14 Tomcat, F-8 Crusader, A-4 Skyhawk, F-105 Thunderchief, A-6 Intruder, F-15C, F-15E Strike Eagle

bbi WWII at TARGET
Stopped at my Target on my way home from work tonight and picked up the bbi Tank and Humvee.
LOTS of bbi figures on the shelves!! Had to do a double take as I found and bought bbi's WWII PARATROOPERS! I already have these, but getting more never hurts, and besides, I thought Target was only getting modern figures. Anyways they had Cleary, Lucas, Dimarco and Ramirez!!! AND they SCANNED at the registers!
So...bbi WWII is AT TARGET!!!
