Yeah, I'm with you on that one. I'm not a super-huge fan of the 1/32 scale stuff either, but at $4 a pop I can learn to like 'em REAL quick.

I'd like to know as well. I've switched my focus to 1:32 so that would be cool.

Here is a story for you guys that happend a year before the storm.. I went to a Wal-Mart in Houma . This is a small town about an hour's drive south of New Orleans. They had the 1/6 scale Stuarts on sale for $110 I got home and the wife went off. She said you have 10 already why do you want another one? She would not buy the reason so I took it back to a Wal-Mart by the house. Well I took it in and of course I did not have my reciept so they gave me the full price $150 . COOL !!!. I went back 2 days later and they had my same tank on sale for $37.50 !!! I got it. :D So in the end I paid a grand total of $2.50 plus tax. :D :D :D
Sometimes it pays to shop at Wal-Marts. But other times ....

From my understanding is that dollar stores normally get their merchandise from a secondary outlet. I don’t know it does not make good business sense to sell your products that cheap. :?

If the different dollar stores work like Big Lots did in its early days (and still does sometimes, although they have reached the point where they have their own brand now), then it is likely going to be very sporadic where stuff shows up, and once it's gone, it's gone. Odds are that some toy store or other retailer/chain went out of business or decided to clear out a bunch of overstock--maybe all those 1/32 Motorworks Flakpanzers and such that have been on our local WM shelves for 3+ years. I think the only reason WM doesn't clearance them out is that they forgot they have them. And since it's not in the system, it doesn't exist...
Could be interesting to see if this is an isolated incident, or if things do show up on a wider basis.

well dollar general or the other one had the Gijoe singlepacks and some vehicles for 6.99 or something like that over a year ago - some still have a few figures left here and there.

A few years ago I saw several (3+) BBI 1/6th figures in the toyshop (KB Toys, I think) at the mall at the end of Orlando's International Drive (it was Belz Mall back then - according to Wikipedia, it's now called "Prime Outlets" and is "undergoing major renovation") - they were under $10

Back here in the UK, the same figures cost about £30-£40 - with the exchange rate, that would have been about £12... :D :D

Unfortunately my beloved said "No" and I've never seen any more in there.
Mind you, she did let me have the BBI Kiowa from the TRU in Lakeland two years ago so I'm not complaining (too much). :?

A couple of years ago, before Christmas, I found 1/6 Ultimate Soldier, Villains, and America's Finest figures discounted at a couple of the local "A.J. Wright" stores. They are kinda like "Ruby Tuesday" and simialar to "Big Lots!"
So I am not suprised that 21st Century items can show up at these various wholesale discount stores!
