Ok guys and gals. We all know that 21st will someday give us the Tiger II. What should the next German AFV be?
1. My favorite the A7V of WW1 fame.
2. The Marders I , II ,III and the M.
3. The Hetzer this is very popular in 1/35 scale
4. Stumtiger
5. Jagdtiger
6. Jagdpanther
7. Jagdpanzer
8. Ferdinan or Elephant
9. Amored recons 222,223, Puma ect
10 flack panzers -panthers
11. Mause
Ther are probably hundreds more but please try to stay on the list.

I went with #9 Armored recons. I already have a Stumtiger, Jagdpanther, Jagdpanzer and a Stumpanzer.
I'll take any German armor 21st wants to put out. Each German tank had variants, so 21st makes a Tiger I from that you can do a custom Sturmtiger. Panther becomes a Jagdpanther and so on.
For the folks who don't want to do customs, 21st should make everything on the list....

I'd buy it all!!!

Hey Aferguson,
The stug III would kind of be in the Jagdpanzer column.

Bring on a Puma baby! But honestly, I'd take any of them.

a jagdpanzer can be any of a number of vehicles.....specifically we need a Stug III, which was one of the largest produced and most important pieces of armour the germans used during the war...

I voted for a Marder, because I like the option of the open top for posing figures, but I would have voted for the Stug III if it were an option. The Stug is the most important unmade vehicle by far. When I saw the jagdpanzer option I was thinking jagdpanzer IV.

Yeah, StuGs are really sturmartillerie, not panzerjager - they were in a completely separate service of the German armed forces
I'd vote StuG too.

what about a Jagtiger?

Sorry guys I guess I should have made a Stug catagory.

But it was my belief that the stug would be in the jagdpanzer catagory. I know the the Ace of Aces Wittman got his start in one.

Not all Stugs were sturmartillerie, a lot of them were actually tank killers.
I voted for the Marder type vehicle ... I too like the open top to pose figures with and they were just way too cool looking to be left out!

I voted for the Marders. Open topped vehicles do allow a lot of possibilities for customs. Nashorn, hummel, ect. I would vote for a Panzer III if it were on the list. We could make a Stug III out of that. The armored cars would be a close second on this list.

How about a Leopold, or for those with way too much room (and cashflow), a Dora? ok, technically it's artillery instead of armor, but hey, it would be cool.. Just think of the mission briefing: "Richards, see that shiny spot up on the hill, the one surrounded by Tigers and pillboxes? That's the biggest honking piece of artillery you ever saw. I want you to pick a team, sneak up there, and take it out. Dismissed!"

I saw the 1/35th model IRL the other day, it had a Leopold and a Gerät 040 next to it and it made these other two big weapons look tiny!
But what about the 24cm K3 which was a towed gun?
However my vote goes to "9. Amored recons 222,223, Puma ect
"

Would not the Stug IV be a much more expedient choice of vehicle, seeing that the IV chassis is already tooled, thus needing only the upper hull and armament components to be tooled? Plus the opportunity to get an RC version at that!
Besides for me the Stug IV is a far more sexy assault gun (above the tracks) even if its service was only limited to 44/45, however that’s the period I try to restrict my WWII collection to.
Having said the above I do have a very big soft spot for the Stug III as this vehicle was one my first ever model kits (the old Airfix version) and you have got to love those six big chunky road wheels.

Of the vehicles listed in the poll, I'd like to see the Jagdpanther. There's just something about the looks of that vehicle that appeals to me

The armored cars would also be a must, especially the SDK 222.
As for the unmentioned Stugs, a Stug IV is certainly a must, though a III would be nice as well. Those were some of the most common armored vehicles in the German army and need to be produced in 1:18 at some point, with side skirts

the Stug III's were so commonly used and in so many roles, that they are vital to any WWII armour collection. Not having a Stug III would be as big an omission as not having a Panzer IV. It was a mainstay of the German army.
Stug IV's would be good too, but Stug III's are far more important, historically...

I voted for the recon armour cars but I really want a PZ III.
