Threw a prop blade on my '109.

Actually, I dropped it while I was building some cabinets and I lost the blade. Have to be creative with the photo angles and hide the missing one until I can find the old one or carve a replacement.

With out a prop blade I would put it on the back burner, I have busted off one and fixed it with two stage epoxy, but ouch. I would pick up another me-109, besides you can always make a cool diorama where it crashed landed . But I hope you find it so you can reattach it.

Ya'll are going at it from the wrong direction. It's hard enough to find room for them as they are without making them bigger. Try it like I do. Get a really good set of stereo headphones and a copy of Steve Martin's "Let's get really really small" comedy routine. Make sure that the camera and model is in postion before starting because you won't be able to during the effect.

Turn up the sterio LOUD!!!!!!

and put on the headphone, sit on the floor (it's too hard to get out of a chair when the effect kicks in) and listen for 15 minutes (longer for smaller scales, results may vary, not resposible for accidents, etc). Hit the timer button and run over to the model and you're in business!

Or someting like that. LOL

you just cant put that aircraft wherever you want, man. may i suggest a "hangar" for your aircraft. big and silver, and as big as you need.

great. cant wait to show the guys at the IL2 forum, that ANOTHER 109 is in non flyable condition, after your woodworking accident.

history down the tubes...

great photochopping! :P

Just across the line in SC but my mom's got a place about halfway between Chimney Rock and Asheville NC that has a real "pull" on me. I was drivin' the real counterpart to this model back in '66 up around in there when I first saw "Thunder Road" and was never the same since. It was filmed in and around Asheville and I later got to know a lot of the people "in the business" and that really didn't help my "decorum" but I was seldom late for anything once I started praticing what they were preachin' LOL
