Why does 21st have air to air missle on the F-86????

Why does 21st have air to air missle on the F-86f?
I thought all US aircraft during the korean war did not have them at all.
I know the ydid have the much it was much latter, and I think they where the saber dogs that had them.
Does any one know???

Republic of China (Taiwan) F-86's carried a small number of AIM-9B Sidewinders in 1958 while engaged in combat with the People's Republic of China. Other than that who knows.

true, but in the early 50's they did not have them.

The sidewinders are not accurate ordinance for the F-86F during the Korean conflict, although they would appear on the plane later in the 1950s. 21c probably included them to give us buyers a little more variety with the ordinance load - though bombs would have been more accurate

No, no sidewinders on a Korean war F-86F. Just six really mean .50 caliber machine guns.

Still, if there had been Sidewinder armed Sabres in Korea... Imagine the kills!

Yes, bombs would have been nice.
