I here that the 109 will be at WM also. If that's true they sould have the same stock # and should be cheap as the winter 109's were.

but couldn't remember where I saw them. I've got one preordered from Toyfed in the event WM does the usual and sells them in one particular locale!!

So it may be real after all. I think I would have bought this one anyway.

OK, so how many versions of the 109 is it for the past 12 months? Four? Lets see, there was the winter version, the galland version, the night fighter and now the desert one. Thats a pretty good run for a plane 21st traditionally hasn't made many repaints of! I'm more than satisfied with my first series 109, and hope they don't make a repaint of that!

I too hope the first one doesn't get reissued, that just kills the collectibility aspect of it if they do.

It will be interesting to see the labeling Toy Fed's 109s have. Motorworks or 21st Century.

As long as they keep pumping out new planes, I have no problem with
the repaints. They might come out with something pretty unusual.

I think a BLACK 109 is pretty unusual..

Naa, unusual would be a T-bolt with captured German markings as shown in the Squadron book.

According to Toy Fed, they expect to start shipping the black 109's this Monday!! Awesome, can't wait to see if they are in 21st boxes or Motorworks boxes. We should also be seeing them at WM anytime I would think. :D

I wouldn't say that. I think they will be on-line only, much like the repaint Corsairs....

Still looking for a profile on it. I don't think it's kosher............

Didn't someone say they had a profile of it in one of their books? I was under the impression that the scheme was now considered to be correct for a 109E

From what I thought I read on GP's board was that the E model Night fighter had the regular camo while the G models had the all-black scheme. I very well could be wrong, but some picture evidence would be nice "hint, hint".......

HWorth posted the following...

Jagdflieger is correct..
III Gruppe NG1 used RLM 66 (black) 109-E4's for Nachtjager duties in late 40-41.. The profile pic I have is almost EXACTLY like the XD one except in my book it is G9+JV, not G9+GV.. But that doesn't matter..

I collect 1/144, 1/72, 1/18 scale diecast and build 1/35, 1/32 scale armor and aircraft..

It's in suspended aninimation right now. That prototype might be the only one you will see. But with how well the F-16 and F-18 are doing, it might force 21st's hand and they might be compelled to do it. You never know.......

ps Thanks for your interest in the albums!
