Does anyone know how to get a replacement pitot tube for the nose of my BBI 1:18 F-16?

Or am I just out of luck?

You can try contacting BBI's customer service. I've heard of success stories before

I fabricated a new one from some scrap plastic. It banged up against the wall one too many times and got bent out of shape and the new one is more solid. I had no success after asking BBI. Their process at the time (2 years ago) was very bureaucratic and would probably cost more in the end than its worth. Did you lose the piece completely or did it get bent out of shape?

The pitot tube is actually missing. What I think happened was that the clean crew knocked it off and vaccumed it up, because it is just GONE.

How do you make a new one?

I had to make a new one as well. I left mine in the box and then pitched the box.
Anyway, I used a nice straight piece of styrene plastic from an old model kit. It was actually one of the long sprues from the parts sheet. I cut it to length and then used a file to get the shape paying close attention so it would stay cylindrical. I then sanded it smooth and plugged it in. It came off of a grey model so I didn’t even paint it.

How much would you charge to do that again (build your own pitot tube) and send it to me?
