I just picked up "The Huff" and was wondering why on the right side of the aircraft it says ""Miss Jenny" and has a small dragon head and "Bills Baby" with 5 1/2 kill stars on it. And where the pilot name is it says "Asst c/c J.W Manney c/c B.D. Cromwell"? On "The Huff" side it has the dragon, and the words "Pilot Lt. Jim Thompson" with 2 kill stars. Is this correct? Any answers or comments would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Question about "The Huff" markings
huff
I believe it is correct. Thompson was the pilot as of spring 1953 and J.W. 'Bill' Manney was the crew chief - hence Bill's baby. I thought it was to say "Miss Jerry" but maybe I am wrong on that. Someone may be able to elaborate.

The Huff markings
Rest easy... the markings on 21st C "Huff" are spot on accurate. Have built several over the years and have many pics of Thompsons bird and the guys at 21st nailed it. Hang that baby with pride.
