Getting Tired Of Waiting.

Post by MightyMustang » Tue Apr 03, 2007 10:24 am

Hey guys. I'm getting irritated. I called Historic Aviation 2 weeks ago and they said that the 21st Century Mustangs Old Crow and BBD would be in the first week of April and they told me to call them then. So I have. NOW I'm told they have been delayed until mid April! I know there is delays but I'm getting tired of it. Its getting to the point where I'm getting ready to say heck with it and just be happy to have the Mustangs I do and go on with getting other aircraft. I got an email from Bad Cat saying that BBD has arrived in their warehouse but it still shows pre-order on their website. I'll have to call them to see whats going on. But if theres a delay for Old Crow I'd really like to know why. I was told it was in production along with Tender Terror so I cant see why there would be a long delay. Both planes had the same paint scheme. All 21st would have had to do is make different decals for it. Sorry guys for the rant but I'm just sick of seeing delays and so fourth.

Anyone else feel as I do?

Also, where is the P-38?

I have been checking BadCat about 20 or 30 times a day lately.

Does the name "Avenger" mean anything to you?

What did we wait on that baby? Two years? Three years?

The items you want is in the pipe-line, but not on a cut in concrete schedule.

Be patient grasshopper.

I saw Big Beautiful Doll for sale at the Planes of Fame Museum over the weekend... so I know she's out. I didn't check for Old Crow though.

Your first mistake was taking Historic Aviation's word as bond.
As said they are stateside so it will only be a matter of time. Besides, with 25 other Mustangs out there I don't think anyone can complain they are tired of waiting for a mustang...especially after two weeks..

After waiting all that time for my Tender Terror, I figure I can wait for just about anything now!

Got my "Bunnie" from Historic Aviation, so I'm all set for now! Not gonna get the Old Crow since I've got BBI's version already; so all I need to do is be patient for the D-Day P-38 I preordered!

Hang in there fellas!

I guess I have to just hang in there. I'm sure I'll get both soon. Its just that these 2 Mustangs are my most sought after paint schemes so thats why I'm being a little impatient. I can only imagin what I'm gonna be like when the Hellcat gets an announced release date!

It did, it was originally February. Hopefully it is not far off either.

If its any consolation regarding the P-51s, the "Tuskeegee" P-51 started out as a "Historic Aviation" exclusive, but is now at many small retailers. The BBD P-51 is out and getting coverage as well (afterall, if the Planes of Fame Museum gift shop has them...). No doubt the "Old Crow" P-51 will do the same eventually. I don't think it will wind up being a strict exclusive on the order of the "Tender Terror" or even the origional "Boyington" Corsair

Its about time! Now it will only take another 3 weeks or so for it to get to the online retailers and another 10 weeks to get to my local Wallymart, which hardley ever gets anymore 21st Century stuff. But at least it been released which is a good thing.

What's happening to the P-38?

Badcat says QC issues, any more info?
