Was that a dive and shoot plane, or was it a more conventional attack plane? I love the cannons.

Dont know but I do know that it was as an airborne tank killer. so I guess would that it was an attack plane.

From wikipedia

“With the G variant, the aging airframe of the Ju 87 found new life as an anti-tank aircraft. Deployed on the Eastern Front in the early months of 1943 and armed with two 37 mm cannons mounted on underwing gondolas, each loaded with a 6-round magazine of high-explosive tungsten ammunition, the Kanonenvogel (or "cannon-bird" as it was nicknamed) proved spectacularly successful at the hands of the Luftwaffe ace Hans-Ulrich Rudel. While still slow, its stable attitude, large wings and low stall speed were valuable in the acquisition of slow moving targets, such as assault boats and ground vehicles. The Ju 87G is rumored to have influenced the development of the A-10 Thunderbolt II.” http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Junkers_Ju_87

Yes! Definately need a Stuka G. How about a Rudel 'Legends' model? Then of course we need a T-34 to provide a target. :D

The major difference between the current model and the tank buster unit is the canopy and chin scoop. They also changed the rear guners weapon. I think to a twin. This would be a easy change for 21st except the canopy. This has been on my custom to-do list for about a year. I have already had Lair make some decals for me for Rudels ship. I would get this vesion in a second maybe 2. :D :D :D

This is the reason I don't already have a Stuka. If I get one it's gotta have the 37mm cannon pods!

I'd go for it, I just like the look of the Ju-87G tank buster. I built a monogram kit of that when I was a kid and would love to see that in 1/18th a long with lets say a....... T-34.

i'd love one, but it ain't gonna happen. It would take a nearly complete rework of 21c's existing Stuka to make it into a G tank buster. There were a few major changes and a load of minor changes, as compared to the B model.

With it looking so similar to the first Stuka i can't see 21c putting out the expense to make a model that will have dubious sales ability, due to its similar appearance to a model that has already been put out.

And i don't see Admiral making it for the same basic reasons.

It would be a good opportunity for some after market guy to make a conversion kit.

It played an important role in WWII and I think it should be made in the 1:18 scale. I know 21st already has made the early model Stuka’s but this is a must just as it’s a must for the hawker hurricane, P-39 and other variants of the aircraft that have been made like the P-51B I sure hope we get to see one in a few years , but I will not hold my breath.

We have 468 views and the poll shows 90% in favor of it, with 39 voted for it.

I think it should be made.

I think there's a good chance this bird might get built.

A. 21st Re-tooled the exact version of Mustang, so why not this one too? Maybe this is a great time to do a detailed Stuka...one with moving surfaces, more detailed cockpit, etc.
B. Stuka is a VERY well known aircraft. EVen those who doesn't know much about WWII can easily recognize this bird.
C. It's GERMAN, so it would naturally gonna get built. :P
