Tankduel,
I see a few Playmobil houses on display.
I like the display you set up.
Is all the XD 1/18 scale items displayed yours, Jay's or both??
Well Done!

Hi, glad you liked the pics . I think we had 16 planes (7 Jay's , 8 mine) and Jay's 2 tanks , some of my club members have XD but most of the rest is mine., It's one of those events where I go all out to include everything I can, the POC was a last minute purchase the night before. Lots of people notice new additions from last year and the crowd appreciate checking out the stuff.
Anyway for me it was pretty hectic with kids lined up all day for two days to play the u-drive Tamiya tanks, that's the setup with the orange cones.

Hey Tankduel. Yeah, it's great (and weird!) to actually meet someone from this board. Thanks for the invite, my mates appreciated the entry as well. It was a buzz to see all the XD stuff laid out and to see all the people having a look. It has been many many years since I'd been back to motat2 so it was nice to see the P-40, lanc and flying boats again. We must do this next year. Hopefully by that time the line up of planes and artillary will be ever expanding. Of the military display - I thought it was quite trippy to be standing in the middle of Auckland city and have a legion of WW2 german soldiers march right past me in full uniform.

Two questions:
Where did you get those trees and where can one get the SU85 conversion kit?

by tankduel
Hi Aferg, there's one each of four currently avail Schleich trees there.
But if you mean the 100 odd taller ones, they're just branches from a 7 ft xmas tree I cut up, the camera is kind on them.
THe SU85 kit I bought from
http://www.imperial-modellbau.de/shop/ I think
www.backyardarmor.com has them too.
There's a SU 100 kit, but you're on your own for a 100 barrel,or use the 85 barrel and make the SU100/85 version or whatever it's called.
75th, sorry, no crew pics until 21st brings out Russians!

Thanks for the info on the SU-85/100 conversion tankduel. I have a WSN T-34/85 and was considering just such a conversion.
