What are your guys thoughts on the BBI Blackhawk? I was considering getting one but I just wanted some opinions from the experts. Thanks.

I'm not an expert on anything, but I love my Blackhawk. I've only noticed two things The tail rotor does not have tilted angle that it should have and I think the tail wheel strut should have been a little longer.

tail wheel strut was molded in compression, as though the blackhawk was on the ground and the strut compressed from the weight. This is in contrast to the Apache undercarriage which is molded 'in flight' and not under compression. As a result the Apache sits noticeably too high on its undercarriage.
The tail rotar can be glued at the proper angle, but it wont' rotate any more of course.
Overall it's a nice bird, my biggest complaint was that the windows for the gunner stations were molded in place, so you can't put any door guns in without major, major surgery.

From a quick look, I believe you can get the correct angle by removing the bit of plastic the rotor assembly goes into and fitting a small bit of tube the same size that sits flush to the gearbox housing at the top of the tail... Good luck finding a bit of tube the right size

If you like the full size, you will like the model. Is it perfect ? No, but it is a hellavu lot better then the power team whatever version. Only needs the minigun for me.

I have the MH-60 Pavehawk variant of the BBI Blackhawk. It took me a while to get this helo (really for size reasons) and I missed out on the OD green version both at TRU and the small retailers, only finally breaking down and getting the Pavehawk a few earlier in 2006.
That said, I will say it is a great helicopter! It is huge and heavy, easily one of the largest toy helos on the market. It looks great as well! my Pavehawk was displayed hanging with some of the passengers roping down. I crewed it with the new BBI modern USAF Nightstalker figures and some custom special ops troops I made for the passengers.
As far as the functions go, the side doors slide open and the pilots doors open, in addition to the rotating rotor blades. There is a full interior, with 12 seats, so you can cram alot of crew and passengers into this - far more than in the 21c UH-1 Huey. The cockpit is well detailed with the control sticks and instruments, though the passenger compartment lacks some of the finer detail that the 21c Huey does. The droptanks on the wings are removable. There is also a winch & rope that mounts on one side of the aircraft. The winch doesn't work (which would have been a cool feature) and the rope is rather short, so you may want to get a longer piece of string.
My only beef with the BBI Blackhawk is that part of the interior is difficult to reach. There are a couple seats behind the cockpit (for the crew chiefs/door gunners) which are nearly impossible to get a figure into since they're so deep inside. Had BBI made the gun windows open or at least made the first rack of seats removable, the forward section would be easier to access. That said, it is easy to get the two pilots into the cockpit and a full compliment of 12 troops into the passenger compartment. You can still get figures into the door gun stations, but it is difficult and you may not want to get the figure back out!
All in all, the Blackhawk is well worth the purchase! It seems that some small retailers are getting them in for $60, which is a good price. The helicopter is huge, so make sure you have the space to display it, however, it can break down easily for storage. Hope this review info helps!

I'd absolutley pick this up if you can get it at a decent price. It is not all that big and with a few mods, it would not be hard to add the side guns and rocket pods.
