Post by lcowboy30 » Sat Mar 10, 2007 1:07 pm

Does anyone know of a source for ground crew and jet aircraft ladders, generators and everything associated with an aircraft on the ground?

Thanks

I agree. One of the big 3 must come out with these. I could make one heck of a diorama if I had them.

The BBI Jets come with ladders, but to get the ladder, one usually has to get the jet

Custom ground crew figures are easy enough to make, however!

I can't see why they don't make crew figs etc. Man they would sell like crazy, they couldn't make them fast enough...

You asked for them. 21st is about to deliver! News and photos of the new Legends series will come very soon (this week in fact) including the first pictures of the Ground Crew and the equipment. Hang in there for a couple more days!

Too bad we have to get the plane to go with them - I already have a Boyington Corsair! Now, if they made other aircraft in the Legends series which I could use a repaint of...

Yeah!

Sometimes projects get cold all the sudden and then real hot! Most of the time it has to do with retailer biz and other planning conflicts. But finally the Legends Series is about to make it's final debut!

I think I will have the ground crew paint master photos by the end of today (crossing my fingers). From the sounds of it it will be very cool to have these long overdue additions to our collections!

The Corsair is going to be the same mold as before. The reason for the Re-release of Boyington.... Well it's Boyington! and He certainly qualifies as a Legend! Besides you guys would not believe the massive ammount of newbie fans that are HUNGRY for and demanding a Boyington Corsair. So it will be a "something for everyone" release with lots of cool new ground things for us old diehards!

TKO, I got the Bunker Hill Corsair in today, and it is really nice looking. Those ground crew figures are nice, looks like I will have to find more room. :(

You know, that Boyington head sculpt in the above picture is the SAME as that which came on one of the Avenger crewmen. Looks like the custom Boyington figure I made (with the crewman's head and the origional Boyington Corsair pilot) is going to be pretty much accurate to the "Legends" version

Finally we can put together a little diorama with a ground crew, we possible use some the other figures that are out along with some armour...Back when I used to take the time to build sets, I used train set making materials for the landscaping...I think i'm going to start putting some more time into custom projects once the ground crew comes out, thanks for the posts 21st...

I just hope that they sell these ground crew figs seperately. Also, for different eras.

Are there any plans for Luftwaffe aircraft in this Legends line? If so, will there be a German ground crew?

thats fantastic!

I always display my planes on large shelves as mini-dioramas. The BH for example, has the pilot cleaning the winshield while 2 soldiers are getting inside the chopper. It will be really nice to display the corsair with its ground crew and tools

These guys would look great in a motor pool too. I may just have to buy this plane, snag the ground crew and sell the remains on eBay.

Any ideas where this is going to be available. I haven't read too much about it, so I could have missed it.

the only problem I see - Is 21st is a bit late on this series...
Id love a ground crew - but I already have a corsair - they waited from first announcing to allowing what two more schemes plus two BBI schemes?

21st there would be a lot of money in making sets of accessories.
Even if you start off with sets of weapons you have already made -
