Small Scale Military Headquarters

BBI has there zero. I am not sure if they hit it off big. I was pretty excited I did get one white and one green. Is anybody in for any more? I have been working on a kitbash spitfire reworking it into a Ki-61 Tony for about a year now. It has been about 6 months that I even looked at it. What should the next Japanese plane be ? IF THERE SHOULD BE ANOTHER ONE!!!!! The B-25 needs an adversary in the Pacific Theator.

A spitfire into a Ki-61 Tony, now that is not an easy task to do.

i'm in.....there was much excitement a few weeks ago when a bunch of us thought AT was making a Kate, so i think there is alot of interest in Japanese planes. Since 21c is clearly into making adversaries these days, you'd think they might make a Japanese plane or two down the road.

21st announced they were making a Japanese aircraft. (oh yeah, that was over two years ago )

Hmmmm I guess a Betty would be asking too much.although a Kate would be nice.

Your right it isn't but I thought it would be. I cut off the front cowling and fliped it upside down. Split the fuse about in half on a horizontal plane. Used a Fw-190 wing split it on the cord and have reworked the landing gear bays.
I haven't looked at it in a while but I think that the canopy is close with work to be done on the rear glass. I think that the front windsheald had to be reworked as well. I just can't remember.
The one thing that stymead me was the landing gear fitting into the wing.The gear is too thick. That is when I got the idea of making removable landing gear. But work right now is more demanding and I just don't have the time to get back on it. My nightmare is to finish the project and have someone make it. If that would happen I am not sure if I would shoot my self or the model

I would love a Kate, Val, Tony(not much good at kit bashing), and most of all a Shiden Kai or George.

i'd like a nice chubby Raiden....one of the best fighters of the war.

I would like a Nakajima Kikka.

They did make Japanese A/C.. In 1/32 scale.....

is there a difference between the green pearl harbor and white BBI zero other than scheme?

The VAL, the Betty and the OSCAR are the most emblematic JP WWII planes to me (far behind the Zeke of course).

There is a ton of Japanese aircraft I would like to see but the first one on my list would be the KI-84.

my grandfather told me he saw two of those Baka - and both times they flew right by and crashed into the ocean...

he said we had no idea what they were.

Yeap, would love to see Hayate (Frank). But I'm itching for the floatplanes, mainly the Kawanishi N1K1 Kyofu Type 11 and the beautiful Aichi M6A1 Seiran.

Yes the float planes would be a nice addition.

My dad went to Korea during that war. While he was in Japan he befriended a guy who was a kamakazie voluntier. He was in training to fly the Baka but the war ended! He later became a surgeon , a heart specialist. Rather than throwing his life away he saved them. His son is in the States now and I think he became a doctor as well.

This would be cool to have as well, but I guess we need the Betty bomber as the mother ship first.
