I made a PBR, and RED made the Higgins boat.

I'd like to see each of those made by someone.

Maybe a PT boat with a Kennedy or McHale's Navy fig set.

PBR, sure definite possibility. Already done in prototype form, may be released with the upcoming Platoon line?

Landing craft. Maybe. Be a good way to encourage figure sales.

Waterline U-boat. Slam dunk. :D

I like this thread Ranger. You never know what they might do after the B-25 announcement.

How about a 1/18th U.S.S. Hornet? That will encourage sales of multiple B-25s. :D

I could see some challenges in doing a full 1/18 cruiser or destroyer or something, but... Would anybody be interested in deck or superstructure sections, kind of along the lines of a diorama/playset? Maybe a gun turret with a section of deck, or part of the superstructure with AA guns?

lol.....yes, like the fact that a destoyer would be over 20 feet long and a cruiser over 30. Lotsa repaint potential though..

Yeah, but I don't want to be the total voice of negativity :)

Trying to be tongue in cheek about it, but the scary part is that somewhere out there is someone who would most certainly buy one if they built one, regardless of price. And remember the number of responses in this direction when you posted the "most ambitious custom" thread?

How about a PT boat, followed by a series of 1/18 navy figures, with the Mae West jackets and those cool navy helmets. I am liking this. The idea of portions of a larger ship is cool, too. I can really picture an AA battery from a Destroyer. Or how about a "Mr. Roberts" cargo ship diorama complete with Ensign Pulver and the Captain and his Palm tree? Back to the PT Boat, how about a McArthur figure? We got Patton, after all.

Maybe the big ship idea can be combine with the idea one of you mentioned of building it in pieces.....for example you buy a few sets and put them together to form the final ship!!!!

that would be so awesome!!!........

and then I can buy a bottle of champangene and baptize the ship in the pool!!!!

"All hands on deck"!!!......"VICTORY in the 1/18 scale Fleet"

wow I'm dreaming but it was so cool!

Please don’t be so negative, I think ships are cool but I don’t have the space or the room, other then that I would love to have one if they every made one.

I think we all need to respect each other’s want and needs

You guys are just not being practical. NOW, if we had a 1/18 LST to load all our 1/18 armor, now that would be something.
