It's a swell lookin' truck but do you want a 1953 vehicle fueling your P-38 Lightning? A better fit for that truck would be fueling the F-86 Sabre. Match that with a Solido 1950's US Army Ford Panel Truck. BAM! That would be the start of a sweet diorama.
Solido makes a 1:18 1936 Ford Texaco Fuel Tanker (check E-bay....they should be going for around $24.00 or less).
There is a 1940's Ford tanker made by Golden Wheels. I think its rather small and simple. It has white walls and no opening doors. The hood does open up. These are one of those value priced die cast vehicles.
Hopefully down the road (no pun intended), there will be some really great 1:18 scale die cast vehicles (Fuel bowsers, Ambulances, Fire Engines, Staff Cars....Etc) to enhance our dioramas.
Cheers

I thought that the topic was about another crew member as well. I was thinking, not another one. The truck could go well with the right customs in a diorama.
