My 1/16th scale Tamiya Sherman with the stock turret is 14 inches long, 7 inches wide and 7 1/8 inches tall to the commanders hatch.
Does that help?

So how much is one of these R/C beauties?? And do you have to glue it together and paint it like a kit or is it a 1:18 aircraft style pop a few bits together type of assembly? Also I see it has the Horizontal suspension. Very cool.

They're around 300-400 for the kit, plus you have to supply your own transmitter/receiver.
But they're tons of fun. They make you feel like you're driving an actual tank because of the analog controls, and they're durable enough that you can drive them pretty much anywhere (with a few exceptions of course).
You have to assemble them, lotsa gluing, and lotsa screwing (sounds like college).
Er, anyways, the Sherman is the most simple to assemble. You can probably assemble it in 1-2 days.

Sounds pretty cool. I figured it must cost a few hundred. I'd have to save my milk money for quite some time.

Plus they have the actual recorded sounds of what a real tank (in this case a radial powered M4 Sherman) would sound like.
Main gun, machine gun sounds, engine start/accelerate/idle/shut off, turret and gun elevation sounds and if a IR battle system is added, can score or be scored upon hits and hear the actual explosions of shells and final destruction, disabling the tank.
AND, you decide what you want the tank to look like at the very begining and there are so many aftermarket pieces to get to 'update' the tank for that one of a kind look.
I'm with you. While I like the HVVS and it working much better than the VVVS, I would have liked a more popular version to start off with like maybe an Easy 8.
