Is there SOME WAY you can convince Walmart to start selling the XD line on the Walmart Online Store?
Walmart's distribution system seems to only hit a few stores in a few areas, leaving SO MANY Walmart's shelves BARE of ANY figures, armor, planes, etc, leaving many of us having to RANT about not FINDING ANYTHING!
I know WM wants them in the stores to bring us in to further shop, and that would be fair enough IF WM would place the XD IN their stores!
I could go on, but this has been said before so many times.
I would RATHER purchase the figures, etc at other smaller online stores, but it doesn't look promising that the new XD D-Day figures WILL BE for sale at these stores.
So, please, again, could you pursue the idea of WM SELLING XD on the WM Online store?

And while you're at it, can you get them to start selling XD at their UK-based acquisition, Asda? There are a few places over here that sell the older models but since Corgi decided to do their own smaller-scale (ie up to 1/32nd) stuff, they've stopped bringing in the 1/18th as well.

While I'm sure there must be others(?), I only know of one UK-based source for 1/18th models and they've run out of the decent (ie MODERN!) stuff...

As we all know, WM is the 800 lb gorilla that sits in the corner and does whatever it wants. No outfit the size of our 21C can dictate to Wallyworld. Wally distributes the way it does because local and regional managers want it that way. If you don't see what you want, complain to local store management. Sometimes that works.......not alot of times, buit it can get Wally to try stocking 21C in your AO. Once stocked, if our 21C stuff doesn't move off the shelves, they will disapear, never to be stocked again.

It's unrealistic to think anything different.

All of us, 21C fans, would wish 21C would derminate the agreement with Wally, but that might hurt 21C. None of us want that.

I'm not asking 21C to 'dictate' to WM, but simply pursue the idea TO WM, for WM to include XD on their Online Store. More sales for 21C, more sales for WM, more purchasing power for US!

I hear what TTT is saying, but the question is Why not sell online?
Doesn't it make sense? It would generate more revenue for WM to do so and we XD hunters would help stop making the oil companies more rich with all the gas we waste running from store to store.

Doesn't hurt to try. TTT seems to think that I want 21C to go with fists pounding on the table, dictating, demanding. All I'd like to see is for 21C to SUGGEST to WM, why not TRY to sell their product Online? That's all.

xd online

2 reasons, one for WM, one for 21C. This would not be good for either.
Here's why, no doubt about it. Ready?
1) WM wants you IN THEIR STORE. They do not want you logging on and picking up the toys you want (at very little mark-up to them) without buying some Gatorade, Windex, batteries, etc...
2) 21C would undercut all their online retail outlets. Why would Corey, Lightning, Rob, MTS, etc..want large quantities of planes and armor that people could get just as easily and cheaper at another online source, ie WM.

One day, if/when 21C is like GiJoe or Legos, and you could buy it at 4-5 different mega-stores, then you will see WM put it online. Until then, WM also sells gas for your trip to the next WM..

I'm one of those people that really don't see any difference between 21st and Walmart anymore. Not just because they use the same tactics to squish their independent competitors, but because I believe Walmart basically *bought* 21st back after TRU dumped them and they went bankrupt or almost bankrupt. My guess is that besides pulling 21st out of the fire by giving them a sweet deal to take first crack at their products, but Wally may also have taken a stake in the company itself.

Okay, here's the reason why Walmart is not going to sell this stuff online: Walmart makes VERY VERY VERY little money off army man toys. Walmart makes VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY much money from diapers, juice boxes, t-shirts, oil cans, chips, and earrings. Exclusive collectibles like XD get collectors in their stores many many many times a month, and these collectors tend to bring their wives and children along with them, and these same collectors end up spending twice as much on paper towels, jeans, lawn chairs, and cold medicine than they spend on the XD products which are inevitably not there anyway.

Walmart made a $10 billion PROFIT last year for reason, guys.

Exactly--get the boss on board! I tried making a working 1/18 and 1/32 knowledge mandatory for my staff, but got too many blank stares and comments like "Flak? We can't use that kind of language at work, can we?" and "What's a halftrack?"

Just say "Jeep", no matter what you are talking about. "They" all know "Jeep" and anything green or gray is a "Jeep".

Its a waste of time to go to Walmart, mine never has anything untill 2 months after release and then its usually mainly the German stuff that lays on the shelf forever. I discovered it was more economical to order online rather then waste gas and time searching. Plus preordering usually assures you a better price.

The one advantage that going to Walmar is at least you get somewhat of a look at the model before you purchase it. My online purchases lately have been really bad. I would have been able to spot some of the issues if I had seen the model at Walmart.

Ya know, digger, isn't 21C undercutting smalljoes & badcats & Good Stuff to Go, etc by NOT letting them sell the new D-Day figures? Cause I'd BUY XD from these guys in a heartbeat!! I already paid probably twice as much for each of the new armor and a bit more for the figures at the Online shops cause NONE of my 8+ WM's NEVER had this stuff.
My point here is that IF WM WON'T let 21C sell SOME of the XD stuff at Online shops, then WM should be able to sell these 'exclusives' at their WM Online shop.
To tell you the truth, when I go into WM looking for XD and find nothing, I'm not in so much a good mood to grab a cart and load it with OTHER stuff! :x

Bottom line - WM does not lose one cent over XD sitting on the shelf for months -
High -Low pricing

babyfood is raised 3 cents before WM takes a loss
They clearance for one reason - make room for more items
