With some modifications, that would look great with some German troops riding on it.

Yes i think this would work with 1/18, but slightly concerned as i bought the ox cart for the same purpose & if anything its a little to large. I image the covered section comes off which will help it look not so much like a western wagon. Thankyou for the photo.

In spite of all the hype (and frankly myth) about mechanization, the German army was a largely horse drawn force. I don't have any pics on hand but the schleich wagon might make a nice Wehrmacht chow wagon or other conveyance with a bit of modification. Nice find.

What was that line from Band of Brothers? The guys are riding in a truck, passing captured Germans, and one of the Americans starts yelling at them and says something like " You're using horses! What were you thinking?"
I love that scene.

i got it in a local toyshop here in toronto. They should be fairly easy to find, probably on ebay too.
The only problem i see with making it a german wagon is that the front wheels and back wheels are different in size, which is contrary to pictures of german wwii wagons i've seen. A minor point. It's also fairly large for a german wwii wagon, but also a minor point, i guess.
I think i'm going to keep mine as a western covered wagon; looks really cool and makes a nice change of pace from tanks and planes.

Yeah, the big "prairie schooner" top would need to be changed, and the wheels as you noted, but these should be pretty straightforward mods for some of our talented customizers, and we've got a bunch of em'
