You bet! This year ought to be good! We have at least one company present this year who has demonstrated that when they speak, they deliver!! Cant wait to see what they have!

The Mystery Plane that Admiral hasn't announced yet in 1/18. I think 21st will have something showstopping in armor but not in aircraft. BBI? I don't even show them going this year.

I think the mystery plane from Admiral will be the F-5.

hmm.....assuming it is even more impressive than a Skyraider, which logically it should be, as the natural tendancy is to build in impressiveness, i doubt it's an F-5, given the mixed emotions about it on this board.
Jason has mentioned that items at Toyfair may not necessarily be produced, as it's a forum for testing the market, as we all know. So, i'm going to hunch that it's something quite impressive, being shown as a 'test the market' piece. I'm going to say either F-15 or a B-17, yes, i said B-17.

I seem to recall Jason mentioning they had a SMALL booth! But man, wouldn't that be cool! Just to be the first manufacturer to say, "Yes, it can be done!"

Moth what's the deal? You don't want a Typhoon or Do 335 Arrow. Both of the ships are sweet. I could only dream of them.
Just givin' you a hard time

Maybe they will suprise with an F-22. Much better than an F-5 (although I do like the F-5) Likely just wishful thinking.

No, you misunderstand, or I just cant write

,
I love the Do-335, it is my favorite plane, after the Henschel P.75 concept.
I meant that I am looking foward to the F-5, just like I am to the Do-335.(Do-335 has more looking forwardness from me

)
Yeah, I hate the Typhoon

, **but only the huge cowl version**, I love the radial engined one, where the radiator is in the wing, and the fuse' is clean, no hedious cowl under the engine.

Sorry, no chance on the B-17. It's just not a realistic guess, I'm sorry..(I would love to eat my words on this one...).

Always with the negative waves Moriarity.

Naw, it isn't being negative at all!
I'm just being realistic. Based of the latest news/announcements I don't see an A-10 on radar this year from any of the builders.
There is always 2008!

Well, Ill add to being pessimistic (sorry I am)
We will never see an A-10.
I think the reason for it is because everyone is asking for one, and If they make it, there will be a never ending, annoying, horde of people asking for thier favorite plane!

Biggest thing I'd like to see come out of Toy Fair is that BBi/21C/Admiral get picked up by another major retailer. Would love to see Admiral stuff in the stores, or be able to hunt for BBi and 21C at the same time in one store. I know this flies against comments Mike made about the declining interest by retailers in military toys, but maybe the whole anniversary thing with GI Joe could convince retailers to have a few planes or armor

on the shelves with these guys.

I just don't understand the logic of that. You dont want to build something that everyone wants and has been asking for for a long time? Why? Because its too popular? The belief is that if everyone makes one there will be too many on the market. Well no one is making it out of fear. I wish one of the major manufacturers would get the cajones up and try to build one large 1/18 aircraft of modern design then at least we would know. That would be a good project for two or all of them to work on together on. They could market them under each companies brand in different paint schemes so there is a choice. If its a loss its not a big loss for anyone.
Then we would know if a F-14, F-4, or anyother jet would be possible.
Also everyone has always been asking for thier favorite plane, B-17, Mosquito, Me-110, HE-162, the list goes on and on. Its all such BS to me getting the Dauntless and Skyraider came from annoying the manufacturers. I intend to be an A-10 irritant till my dying days.
