Re-release of Big Beautiful Doll Mustang

Hello all. I'm new to this forum and very excited to join. I love collecting 1/18 aircraft...just started last summer. Have acquired seven so far. Love every one of them. I have a question for all. Last October I emailed the 21st Century Toys Area 21 Fan Club a general question regarding a possible re-release of the 1/18 Mustang with Big Beautiful Doll markings. The president answered claiming yes, 21st Century will be re-releasing this airplane based on the newer Mustang tooling. Can anyone confirm this or have heard something similar? I've been dying to see my favorite Mustang come back in new tooling.

Hi, im new here too, but i too did hear the same thing, and im pretty sure it will happen because the p-51 seems to be a popular aircraft, however i do not know when, but when i do, ill be sure to let you know.

A big welcome to the board!! As far as we know, BBD will be re-released at some point. As far as when, we're not quite sure....

We should see BBD in the first half of this year or sooner. There are rumblings of some new P-51D schemes for 2nd 3rd quarters.
On that note: The back of my Pearl Harbor P-40 shows a P-51D Mustang paint scheme that would be new news to this forum...
OLD CROW in the natural metal skin color and olive green nose mask. Looks like a Tender Terror and Old Crow will be wing men for my collection!
So it looks like OLD CROW and BIG BEAUTIFUL DOLL are the next paint schemes.

Old Crow is next on the list and it will look great sitting next to Tender Terror, outside the display case that is!
