3 strikes at wallys

Post by tosborne3 » Sun Jan 14, 2007 5:14 pm

Man, I've been to three different walmarts in this weekend alone and none of them have anything along the lines of xd that they haven't had for the last three to four months. No new d day figures, no pak 40's, none of the armor that's out. Although I did get lucky and got the panzer IV for 30 bucks. I really like it but I was really hoping to find those new d day figures. Now I'm depressed. lol :(

Columbus Ohio, hey wait a minute I thought Columbus was supposed to be some kind of test market! Wait, maybe that's for restaurants. lol The only thing I've seen in the xd aisles at walmart are tumbleweeds. But I'll be patient I guess. :)

Eventually it will become an automatic process for you to curse WM every night before you drift off to sleep.

I curse Walmart before I sleep, and in my dreams almost every night, exept the day I actually found something there!

All I ever found at Walmart, in the distance of a year or so, was a BF-109G-6, BF-109E NF, Luftwaffe Starfighter, M-16, and the Hanomag PPW.

Now I lay me down to sleep,
And wish Walmart the XD to keep.
And if new stuff should ever show,
I hope that it's in my AO.

Wow, for once Pittsburgh beats out Columbus for shopping.

I just came back from one Wal-Mart today. Picked up 3 each of the open coat Germans and closed coat Germans as well as a Panzer IV (short barrel, RC for $30) and an Avenger for $35. Lots of US figs as well. Also picked up 2 of the cammo panzer guys.

If anyone's local, the Wal-Mart in West Mifflin PA has around 20 or so Avengers. There is a whole endcap at the back of toys facing the wall. They had a sign above that said $49. If you go to the clearance aisle over by the outdoor stuff, they are marked $35.
Life is NOT a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, martini in other, body thoroughly worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO” what a ride!
