First new toy of the year?
First new toy of the year?
So with another new toy year upon us what is the concensus as to what the first new 1/18 scale toy spotted for the year will be? Figures don't count.
My guess....hm.....i have two. Either the Hanomag with Pak 40 or the 262 nightfighter. I will go with the 262.

Armor wise - we will probably see the Sd. Kfz with the Pak-40 first.
We will probably see repaints of the newest vehicles perhaps a second pak-40 with a different figure.
my other guesses:
1. the hannomag with the 75 MM cannon looks like an obvious next step.
2. The PZ IV repaint - same as the new RC
then maybe one in North Africa camo.
Id honestly like to see a PZ I start with the early war 1939 camo.
another possibility is a cargo truck like a Boxer or something.
I dont think we will see a Panther repaint until 2008
US wise
a Priest looks promising and maybe a Sherman repaint (british?)
maybe something for Nam with the bulldog chasis.
Id like to see some of the smaller tanks stewart grant/lee
maybe some japanese armor
or a 1:18 pillbox

I was extremely tempted to buy/bid for a PZ MKIV European release with skirts.
I can't think what the hold up would be for MKIV chassis hull variants, there is like what, 100 different configurations?
Same for the other tanks already produced...unless the molds got lost like the kubelwagen.
I'm waiting for that MK III R/C
