Smashed :(

You know there are some things that happen, and after you feel so stupid. I took my new (just got yesterday) admiral ME262 model with me this afternoon to my brothers house. I wanted to show it to him, as well as take some pictures of it on his driveway. I put the plane down on the driveway, and I went into the house. Not 30 seconds later I heard the sound of breaking plastic. My brother backed up his truck so he could move his riding mower, and he ran right over my ME262. I mean right over it. It was not my brothers fault, it was mine. I put the plane down then went to the door. I thought he was in the house, but he was in the backyard. I was in the kitchen when I heard my ME262 getting smashed. He felt terrible, and I just could not believe what had happened. I can't tell you guys how bummed I am. I mean I got the plane yesterday. Ok, I gota stop thinking about it. Thanks for listening. :x

I would run the guilt trip on your brother. It could have been a helpless child laying in the driveway. Maybe he will cough up money towards a new one. At least sue his homeowners insurance. Hey, anything goes when it comes to XD...

Bummer!

However you could always look on the bright side, in that at least you'll have some spares parts for your replacement (you are getting one right!).

And you can swap the AT wheels and rubber tyres onto your 21stCT Me 262 when you get it.

My Me 262 hopefully arrives next week, I was thinking of taking it out to the driveway to take some shots when I get it, but now...............

Wow! Sorry to hear about your plane. I guess it goes to show we shouldn't leave our XD outdoors on the driveway... Your brother should replace the item, however. I would make mine do that if something similar happened

You could always make a nice crash scene diorama!

Me-262

Sabrefan,

Next time, dispatch the Fw-190D JV44 Papagei Staffel (the red/white stripe undersurface-types), the one's who flew cover for the Me-262 during takeoff and landing operations. They guarded the Sturmvogel from marauding Allied aircraft who wanted the (VERY) easy targed of a slow-flying '262....or a backing-big-wheel-type!

Seriously, as I already said; that hurts-but some of the guys had a good idea: a crash-scene diorama. Not exactly what you invisioned, but that is an alternative; heck, no one else has one of those, either  :(

Regrets,

dV

I once lined up my entire 1:18 scale airplane collection in my drive way to take pics... After your experience I think I make take extra precautions next time myself to avoid a similar fate!

Sorry to hear about your 262 Paul. That sucks in a major way.
